Bloody Mary made w/Zing Zang mix and Reyka vodka. First time I've had each and I'll say they go together quite well.

"Age does not bring wisdom. Often it merely changes simple stupidity into arrogant conceit. It's only advantage, so far as I have been able to see, is that it spans change. A young person sees the world as a still picture, immutable. An old person has had his nose rubbed in changes and more changes and still more changes so many times that that he knows it is a moving picture, forever changing. He may not like it--probably doesn't; I don't--but he knows it's so, and knowing is the first step in coping with it."

A local brewery's dunkelweisen.

It's OK, but it certainly isn't a Weihenstephaner.

BTW, I bought the first 6-pack of Sam Adam's Oktoberfest that my favorite liquor store sold this year. They still had it in the back at room temp since they're keeping the last of the SA summer in the walk-in in hopes of selling out. Took a little sweet talkin' and hope this year's batch is good (it's chilling as I type).

Elijah Craig 12 yr Small Batch, one large ice cube and a splash of water. This one is growing on me fast. Not as expensive as some other good ones I like, smooth and flavorful. This is why I like bourbons, each one has it's own subtle differences.

That chit has a bit of a bite. I liked it but wouldn't want more than a bottle.
