Last 2 pours from my bottle of Ardbeg 10.
Gotta decided which Ardbeg to open up next: Uigedall, Corryvrecken or Ardbog.
I'm a deplorable.

Nice. Which expression and where'd you score some?
I carried it home from the Mitchell & Son shop in Dublin. Walked 45 minutes each way in the rain in December to get to the shop. Had to check it on several flights around Europe and then on my way back to the states I saw it in the duty free shop in Dublin. Hard fought and delicious.
I am going back this December and hope to bring back some special bottles from the Jameson Distillery. They apparently sell some not available anywhere else.

Not the Orange OGD, I dunno anyone who likes that one, try the other one - the 114, usually $28-35 IIRC.
and Buffalo Trace is an excellent basic Bourbon, and tastes much like Blantons which is twice as expensive.

How about you open the Corryvrecken and tell me how it rates against Laphroaig 18?

Iron bottomHad some 20 yr old Orphan Barrel Rhetoric. Very good, but I don't have any experience with the older spirits. It is different.

"It did not really matter what we expected from life, but rather what life expected from us. We needed to stop asking about the meaning of life, and instead to think of ourselves as those who were being questioned by life – daily and hourly. Our answer must consist not in talk and meditation, but in right action and in right conduct. Life ultimately means taking the responsibility to find the right answer to its problems and to fulfill the tasks which it constantly sets for each individual." Most Bourbons have around 8-10% rye.
High Rye Bourbons are in the 20-35% range (notably Basil Hayden, Old Grand Dad, Bulleit, and Four Roses).
Four Roses Single Barrel is the (or one of the) highest at 35%.
And the mash for Four Roses Small Batch is 20% Rye, which is still higher than most Bourbons...
