Whats in your glass tonight??? Part(?)
Bayern Oktoberfest. A dark Märzen style lager.
Brewed in Missoula Montana. Tasty with a hearty bowl of beef stew and sourdough bread.

Dark Chocolate Old Fashioned

Couple ounces of bourbon, cacao bitters, cherry bitters, a bit of crème de cacao in place of sample syrup, and garnished with dried orange and 85% dark chocolate.

Perfect for the nights getting colder around here!

Not gonna lie, it’s definitely a “dessert drink”, but I was surprised how well the flavors went well with each other!

2 fingers of Buffalo Trace in a water glass, straight up.

First liquor in over two years. Not supposed to have alcohol of caffeins after I was diagnosed with bladder cancer in the summer of '23 and Afib in August of '23.

I am 18 months post chemo cancer free and no Afib since November 28, 2023 when I had a cryo ablation.

I have bottle of Buffalo trace with about 4 shots in it from back then so decided to have a taste.

Earlier today I shared a dram of GlenAllachie 12 followed by Blanton's Gold with my father and later I'll be making some Rusty Nails for Mrsprovy & I with Glenlivet 12.

Congrats on the 18 months post chemo cancer free. Hopefully, many more.
Well, how was it? Tasty?

"Some things are apparent. Where government moves in, community retreats, civil society disintegrates and our ability to control our own destiny atrophies. The result is: families under siege; war in the streets; unapologetic expropriation of property; the precipitous decline of the rule of law; the rapid rise of corruption; the loss of civility and the triumph of deceit. The result is a debased, debauched culture which finds moral depravity entertaining and virtue contemptible."

Went back nuts tonight….

Pomegranate Bourbon. Kind of cool, very nice for the cool weather with a spicy warmth.

Plus pomegranate! Who doesn’t love a pomegranate?
