SirBeepWhats in your glass tonight??? Part(?)
I found Ardbeg Wee Beastie recently.
It's incredible for a 5 year old. Tastes more like a 12 or more.
Note for Scotch newbs, it's still an Islay, so plenty of notes from being filtered through a driftwood campfire.

How'd you like it?
Friends say the 12 yo is leaps and bounds better for just a few dollars more.

The first pour was just OK. Not one of my favorites, so far.
I have the 8 Year ($29), a 9 Year, Hand Selected ($40) and a 13 Year BiB ($48). The 8 Year is the only one I've opened so far.
I've only just started down the Bourbon Rabbit Hole. Had never liked the taste of any hard liquor before. I had a very mild case of the Chinese Flu around the first of last year, and that took the edge of my taste buds enough that I tried some whiskey and liked it.

911BossLocal Costco had something that caught my eye - “Handy and Schiller Barreled Old Fashioned” premixed Old Fashioned. At first I thought interesting, but I’ll pass given it was same cost as a bottle of Straight Bourbon. Seemed silly to to pay full “hard liquor” price for a premixed cocktail.
Then I saw two things that changed my mind - even mixed, it was 84 proof so “full strength” AND it is a made with Buffalo Trace Bourbon so I decided I would give it a try.
Damn good over ice, good flavor without too much bite.

h2oys^^^We drove from St. Louis out to visit our daughter in Falls Church Virginia and on the way stopped at Buffalo Trace Distillery.
I also bought a bottle like yours above, however during the trip, it fell out of the car onto the ground. Since it was in a case I did not notice that it was broken until we unpacked in Virginia. Then I almost cried because it had leaked out everywhere and the beautiful bottle was all gone.
Please tell me how awful it tastes

frayedendsWe had a "Speakeasy" party this past weekend.
I've grown quite fond of a whiskey sour with Old Forester 1870. Soooo good. Here's a few friends hamming it up for the camera, and my drink.
These go to eleven.

My new found passion for great bourbon has changed my likes apparently.

konata88I wanted ice tea with lemonade. I got lazy with the lemonade. I had some Bone Daddy margarita mix. Ice tea mixed with the margarita mix is actually quite good.
