Here's an actual pic of the color (not mine, just grabbed off Google).

I really like ambers, and Eliot Ness is very good. I'd love to find it on tap somewhere but I've only had it in bottles so far.

Great Lakes Edwin Fitzgerald porter is pretty damned good. I’d totally try the Eliot Ness amber if I could find it around here.

Drinking Knob Creek Rye now. Wondering if Laphroig Cardeas Quarter Cask is still available.

As I’m watching 2 of the original 6 battle in game 7, I thought a classic was in order ... it’s a Sazerac night.

My bottle of 10 yo tawny port went empty while I was pouring into my liqueur glass. So I completed the fill with Irish whiskey. Wasn’t bad at all.

Serious about crackers.

There is a Rite-Aid across the street from my office.
Has a decent liquor selection, or at least good prices on what they do have.
Truck runs every monday morning, i run over and the manager lets me know if they got anything good in.
I occasionally get Blantons there, tough to find.

This weeks haul....under $60 for both bottles.

Eagle Rare, not a fan. The Sazerac Rye is a fave. I sipped some Weller SR this evening. Now BOLO for the McKenna 10 Year BiB but it is sold out due to San Francisco. Dang, the McKenna would sit on the shelf for months and now that I want a change from the Col EH Taylor the trendies are buying it up... fuckers.

It's strange how that seems to vary by region...around here, the McKenna 10 yr seems plentiful, but I have a heck of a hard time tracking down Col EH Taylor, one of my favorites.

McKenna 10 y/o is almost impossible to find around here. I found some in Calif. and had it shipped in to me. I had a taste or two yesterday!!

RIC.45, I will be joining you tonight with the Monkey Shoulder scotch. Good stuff especially at its price point.
Cheers.

Hamm's. $5.99 a six pack, or just say a buck for a 16 ounce can. So I bought two six packs. Smile

Kentucky Tavern... my new favorite bourbon. It’s really cheap, but tastes at least as good as Jack Daniels Old No. 7 does, at one-third the price!
