Sam Adams thirteenth hour Stout it's good my second bottle.

I have to say that Grumpy Biker has been right about Old Rasputan Stout. I drank the second two from the four pack, and it is the best Stout, I have tried a bunch this summer and it is the best.

Edit had to add a coma

I am tapping into my 20cl bottle of Signet for the first time.

Excellent. I've been meaning to sample some Signet. Please let us know how you like it. I'm a big fan of Glenmorangie's lineup.

I'll be honest, it's not my kind of dram. Did I pour it out, no, but I doubt I'd consider another bottle. If you are used to drinking an IPA of a Belgian White, and you all of a sudden take a sip of a Guinness, it is a similar variation.

The Signet is deep, overly complex, and viscous - almost like an olive oil, but not a particularly smooth finish. The flavors are abundant, and when asked by another whisky connoisseur, I asked him if he had ever taken a handful of the variety pack of jelly beans and tried to eat 12-15 at once. You get an almost roasted mocha initial response to the whisky, followed by anise, black pepper, and a bitter chocolate finish. Nothing like any of their other offerings, I prefer Glenmorangie's 18 for a well rounded offering or the LaSanta for a dram after dinner with desert. My long time drams of choice for all around whisky have been the Original (if I want a hint of citrus) or Dalwhinnie 15 if I want unfettered, unpeated whisky with a hint of floral notes.

Started with Deschuetes Fresh Squeezed Hop Juice. Transitioned to Deschuetes Mirror Mirror delicious beer with wine elements. A smidge of Hess Cab Sauv with lobster for dinner. And Tomatin 12 Yr old scotch for the finish. Might be sleeping on the couch...
