Watching the Andy Griffith show and Opie wears jeans with an long horn embroidered on the back pockets.
Was this an actual brand of jeans? The logo just really seems to stand out in the show as everything else for the most part is pretty plain. Even Andy and Barney’s uniforms are quite plain just a star with no words.
Not sure if product placement was much of a thing in the 60s but the logo really stands out.

I see Texas jeans on ebay that match your description. Not sure if they are the ones or not.

I believe you're thinking of the Rustler branded jeans, my great aunt who worked for Wrangler 44 years no doubt helped sew them. They were sold by Sears, still are. Smile

That was the first name that popped into my head but was unable to find any photos of Rustlers with longhorns on them.

Not an embellishment as much as a trademark. Sometimes they came with big patches inside the knees already.

As a kid I never did like Opie or Toughskins jeans.

I could find that Opie wore Keds sneakers, but nothing on the brand(s) of jeans.

I also think it is Sears "Rustler" brand. I think I had some as a kid.
