Excellent perspective!

esdunbar, you can have your head up your ass if you like, but not in this thread and not in this forum. If you can't see what we're up against, that's your problem, not ours.

Well said Para. I am doing whatever I can to support Mr. President get re-elected. We NEED him to stay in office. Yesterday, I contributed to his campaign fund. I speak highly of him (when I can) and encourage and educate people. We are all in on this fight.

You honestly I kinda appreciated the pep talk not specifically surrounding the election but in general.

So like I keep telling myself and others. “Ranger up and move forward.”

And if I could add, if one has a problem with Trump, maybe he said something cruel, or maybe a tactic one doesn't agree with, keep it to yourself please. It is crunch time, the next two months are gonna be brutal, our POTUS needs all of the support this country can muster. Gotta stay positive and focused.

The media hates one thing worse than Trump. That's being proven wrong and having their noses rubbed in it so expect them to reluctantly report that Trumps numbers are up as we get closer to election day.
Then, the circular firing squad.

Should the unthinkable happen- and it is a possibility- there will be time enough for lamentations, but, until such time, don't give an inch.

Should the unthinkable happen, don't give up the fight. Cry in your beer if you need to, and get back into the fight, for as para rightly notes, a fight it is. We are not in a battle; we are in a war for America's soul. Never give up, never give in, never surrender, stay in the fight, and stay committed to winning the war.

My personal commitment to these principles can be expressed in three quotes:

quote:
Winston Churchill to the House of Commons, regarding the defeat of Belgium, May 28, 1940:

"I have only to add that nothing which may happen in this battle can in any way relieve us of our duty to defend the world cause to which we have vowed ourselves; nor should it destroy our confidence in our power to make our way, as on former occasions in our history, through disaster and through grief to the ultimate defeat of our enemies."

quote:
Winston Churchill to the House of Commons regarding the possibility of invasion, June 4, 1940:

"We shall fight on the beaches, we shall fight on the landing grounds, we shall fight in the fields and in the streets, we shall fight in the hills; we shall never surrender,..."

quote:
Captain William Mattingly, USA, to General Stonewall Jackson, CSA, refusing a second surrender demand:

"I will fight until Hell freezes over, and then fight on the ice."

I will never submit.

"I vowed to myself to fight against evil more completely and more wholeheartedly than I ever did before. . . . That’s the only way to pay back part of that vast debt, to live up to and try to fulfill that tremendous obligation."

Alfred Hornik, Sunday, December 2, 1945 to his family, on his continuing duty to others for surviving WW II.

Each of you possess untapped reserves of strength. On the pages of this forum, gentlemen, I want each of you to display that strength and courage. This is the kind of behavior which should be displayed in a battle, and no one should mistake it- this is a battle, perhaps one of the most important most of us will fight.

Thank you, Para. My optimism is high, but all this evil we are seeing wears on you. I needed to read this today!
