It's getting to where it's a struggle to tie shoelaces.
Can anyone recommend nice looking all around every day
slip ons? Price doesn't matter too much, quality does.

My wife bought me a pair of Burkenstocks, she swears by them, once they are broken in.

When I was doing a lot of jobs in Silicone Valley, I noticed a lot of the ageing hippies wore those every day so they must be comfy.

It's hard to beat the quality of Allen Edmunds.

I think you really need to go to a high end men's store, at least Nordstrom or similar, and try on shoes.

not sure what you need the shoes for, whether it's for office or just casual.

Sketchers has slip ons that look like they have laces.

There are also ads I've seen for shoes advertised as not needing a shoe horn to slip your feet in. I know a lot of people don't use shoe horns but, apparently, these are designed to not get the crinkled look in the back of your shoes when you just force your feet into them.

"It did not really matter what we expected from life, but rather what life expected from us. We needed to stop asking about the meaning of life, and instead to think of ourselves as those who were being questioned by life – daily and hourly. Our answer must consist not in talk and meditation, but in right action and in right conduct. Life ultimately means taking the responsibility to find the right answer to its problems and to fulfill the tasks which it constantly sets for each individual." Thanks for the replies.
I'll pass on the Birkenstocks, not my style.
Saw a couple Skechers I like Not bad for a hundred bucks.
But I like the selection of Allenedmunds. I don't mind spending
3-4 hundred dollars because their quality should be excellent
and last many years.

My bro has had arthritis since he was 7-he’s 54 now..his feet are wider than the normal person so he wears Nike black lace up sneakers in a 9 but his feet are size 6 long..he has the guy at the store lace them and tie them and he just slips them off and on, he has a sock shoved into the end of each shoe to fill in the extra space. He can’t bend over to even put on his shoes…and his knees don’t bend either

Interesting you should mention that as it brought back an old memory.

Met a technician on a job years ago that had shoes that were tied and he used them as slip ons. He didn't have anything tucked in them to take up the extra space either.

I've been doing that lately, just shove my foot into the still tied New Balance.
I'm sure it will wear out the back of the shoe more quickly.

A few months ago, I replaced one pair of my trusty New Balance slip-ons with the latest version. Previous version was purchased when I lived in Alaska (I haven't lived there since 2014) so they wear well.

New Balance is having supply issues so I had to wait a long time for a normal size to get in-stock.

I will also tell you that I have arthritis bad. Hips replaced, shoulders are shit. Knees are following suit, but I bought a pair of Wonder knee braces with magnetics, and my knees feel 15 years younger

I was just about to post that and just want to 2nd your suggestion. I have one, don't use it all the time, but when I do use it, it's great.

As for the question of a nice shoe, what works for me, and I like it, is the Rockport brand mens shoe named the "World Traveler" and the "Eureka", and they have a couple versions and they are all very similar. I'd have them tied a little loosely and use a shoe horn to get them on, including the LONG one listed above, pretty darn good thing to have. I used to wear these every day when I had to walk a lot on concrete at work, and they do look pretty nice. I always wore some sort of Dockers or Khakis and a button nice shirt.

You can buy that at pretty much any shoe store, and even better if you can find a Rockport store. I'd recommend a visit into a Rockport store, you'll find plenty of nice slip on shoes that are comfortable and nice looking. I even have a couple pairs of Rockport black wingtip shoes that are super comfortable, dressy enough looking, and are fine to walk on a lot.

OP, good luck to you.
.

Thanks for the link. Don't need those yet, I can still bend over and use a small shoehorn.
It's just my hands and fingers that are shot.
I don't mean to offend, but if anyone sees me wearing Crocs, please beat the hell out of me.
Just kidding Big Grin Not my style either.
