DennisMThey're Criminal Investigation (IRS-CI) special agents. They've been armed since the days of Al Capone and their only role is investigating serious tax crimes. Since 1918, 100 years plus. That's longer than anyone on this board has been alive. It's longer than the FBI has had statutory arrest authority or guns, longer than any but a very few other Federal LE agencies have existed.
Can we please NOT do this "but why does they needs gunz?????" shit every time they're in the news? Pretty please with tax-paid sugar on top?
