The tunes are supposed to be undetected by Toyota Dealers, I don't know that for sure but it's what I've been told, it not only helped with the throttle response but also the shifting. It was like night and day, I believe there are like three or four levels of tune for you to choose from.

They are reprogramming the ECU, there is no way that the dealer cannot see this. Maybe I am missing something - enlighten me.

Think the 24 was the last of the 6? New ones and the Land Cruiser have the turbo 4 cylinder. Looks good on paper, HP and towing increase but not convinced on longevity.

Agree. Just purchased a '25. it's an amazing upgrade over the gen 5, but I'm not convinced on the longevity either. I suspect maintaining the engine will be more important on then gen 6 vs the gen5 that just ran forever.

I bought my 23 ORP knowing it wasn't gonna win any races. I tow my 18 foot boat with it locally. It does fine..if I need fast or mountain work I grab my Power-stroke. I added seat jackers and they helped some..I'm 6 2". Yes it's fairly simple and dated, but it should be very reliable. I haven't messed with the suspension yet...

looking forward to 4 years of TRUMP!

No, a Overland Tailor Tuning (OTT) tune is typically not detectable by a standard dealership diagnostic scan. The tune doesn't modify the ECU ID (Engine Control Unit ID), so it will still report as stock. However, the CVN (Calibration Verification Number) will be changed, and a mismatch in CVN could potentially alert the dealer or emissions station that the ECU has been modified

I have a new Land Cruiser with the 4 cylinder turbo. So far, the engine has been performing great. It has plenty of power for the vehicle and for a 4 cylinder. The traction battery takes up a lot of space. I would buy another Toyota with the 4 cylinder turbo. Is it as refined and as quick as a X5? No- But for what the vehicle is, it is OK.

There are tons of Toyota trucks lovers out there.
Tons!

Then there are those that actually do all their own fixing and repairs.

The latter can tell you what years had great features and what years and models to stay away from for this reason or that.
There is a Farmer here that bought a pick up for his kid to go away to college in.

After four years that guy took it back when the kid wanted a car.

It has 256,000 miles on it now.

Safety, Situational Awareness and proficiency.
