Bet you can find a heavier duty trailer.

For around $2,000 you can find a used ground load or no ramp trailer used by rental companies. Much heavier built, many with steel deck, and it will set right on the ground to roll that speeder on and off.

Being a rental it will be well maintained, although likely a bit rough around the edges due to the abuse of renters.

Something like this:

I would be inclined to find something with 15” tires. A little taller to load but you slow the wheel bearings down quite a bit. We welded log chain (2-3 links) in the corners of my trailer to hook tie downs into. Another easy patch is welding u bolts (muffler clamps) where you want to strap down.

As others have said... strap (heavy duty ones) or chain to the frame....

but I've seen your other post about this critter you are buying and if you are going to be transporting it a good bit... back and forth to that rented rail line... I think I would look at something with more substantial tires... axle and such....

Assuming what you buy makes your GVW capabilities.
I'd first make a stop for the front wheels probably a 4x4 with bolts and reinforcement through the deck. There is no reason the raised rail can't be used for tie downs. If this was me I'd just get some 1/2" or better rope and make a bunch of small loops and then use ratcheting tiedowns to those. That rail is fully welded to the frame and the major part of the load while braking will be on the stop you just made. You should probably note the payload of the trailer vastly exceeds that of the ramp.

Why not just rent a U-Haul trailer. They're built like a tank, and relatively inexpensive to rent if you are returning to the same location as pickup. Even if you rent one a couple of times a year, its a lot less hassle than owning one.

One of my BIL's had a similar trailer he bought at Orschelins, probably the next size bigger. Nothing wrong with that trailer at all if you use it for it's intended purpose.

He used the crap out of that thing for years and it served him well. If I were doing cross country towing at freeway speeds I would upgrade the tires though.

1300 lbs. on a narrow trailer with low rated and small diameter tires and wheel bearings? Bad idea.

You also need to have real tie-down's to hold it in place. Not eye bolts, cheap ratchet straps or lightweight D rings.

Tow vehicle is a 17 F150 5.0. I've used the Uhaul auto trailers but renting one of those is a pain in the ass because they're not always available and it's around $75 a day or more to rent. That and it takes 2 people to load/unload it. Whereas if I own a trailer I can install a winch to make loading/unloading by myself easier.

I'm leaning towards the Karavan which has the 14" tires, 2055lb carrying capacity for both the bed and the tailgate. Unless there's a specific reason I should go with the CAM from the dealer vs the Karavan. The Karavan is 1950 the CAM is 2950.

None of the local dealers or rental companies have any used higher end trailers currently. At least not anything within my budget.

The next closest thing I've found is this: https://www.cycles128.com/2006...ly-ma-01915-i3553954
