Out of curiousity, why don’t you eat eggs? Taste? Texture? I also see you don’t care for fatty meats, does that include ground beef? That would be a good option for hesitation fats. Better if grass fed. Another option is making your own lard or tallow. A local meat cutter sells me grass fed beef fat for 50 cents a pound. It’s super easy to make into tallow and use it for cooking. | |||

top 10 ways to eat more fat 4-2-19 [ dietdoctor ] fatworks - where i get my lard, ghee, tallow etc. already mentioned, heavy cream aka heavy whipping cream or HWC. i always keep full fat yogurt ( i get walmart great value ) and sour cream handy. | |||

Mostly the smell but yeah the taste and texture is vile as well. I always choose lower fat beef (90/10) because it tastes better. | |||

Another fat question. When you're eating a steak do you eat the fat surrounding it. I've always cut it off and left it on the plate as is not easily chewed and is kind of gross to me. Is the fat in the meat enough without gobbling down the surrounding fat? | |||

enough fat? should be. saw your cooking oil post. you don't need anyone to tell you that your n=1. do what is right for you - always. there will always be exceptions. - - - what with the gov telling everyone to cut fat and increase carbs (some say the cause of the obesity and diabetes (and alzheimer's) epidemics), a new disease was created - non-alcoholic fatty liver disease. back in the day, you went to the doc and they diagnosed liver problems they'd chalk it up to drinking / alchohol. then people started having problems and telling their doc no, i don't touch a drop - and the doctors assumed they were lying. then they found out their low fat / high carb / processed food diets were killing their livers with sugar - and Nonalcoholic fatty liver disease was born. i probably posted this before: Lack of Saturated Fat Consumption [ from Fatty Liver Disease and Ketogenic Diets ] Lack of Saturated Fat Consumption: At least two studies, one from Duke University, and one from Cambridge University have shown that reducing carbohydrate consumption and increasing saturated fat intake helps the liver shed excess fat in as little as three days. | |||
