My son and I will be in Naples, Florida next week. We have never been there. We are thinking we should try some seafood restaurants. But if there is something unique to the area we do not have to do seafood. Any suggestions are very much appreciated. Thanks for any ideas.

I live in Naples.

5th Ave S is the main downtown street with a lot of restaurants. Sails is expensive but excellent for seafood. Another great option for seafood at a local favorite is Sea Salt on 3rd St. South. These are 2 options that are quintessential Naples experiences. Another option is USS Nemo on Tamiami Trail (and next door is Norman Love Confections for fantastic chocolates). Ocean Prime on 5th is really good too, but it's not unique to Naples (it's like the Capitol Grille of seafood).

Other local hotspots include Campiello's on 3rd St. South, Tulia on 5th, The French on 5th, excellent Persian at Bha Bha on 5th. Bleu Provence on 8th St. South is a Naples institution with an incredible wine list and fabulous French cuisine, including local seafood.

Happy to provide more recs if you have any specific likes/dislikes or if you're going to be in North Naples, which is a different area.

My wife and I really like Pinchers in the Tin City, next to Old Naples. The grilled grouper I had last time was outstanding!

I see I recommended Pastrami Dan’s in 2021 as well, so at least that hasn’t changed. It’s not Manny’s, but if you want a basic lunch and you’re in Naples, it’s where my dad and I still go when we visit the lawyers.

Andre's if you're looking for a steakhouse. Pinchers is good. Prime Catch is really good.

Absolutely go to Bistro 821. Have the Chilean Sea Bass! Sit at a table outside and watch the parade of Ferraris, Maseratis, McClarens and AC Cobras cruise by...

This was my Saturday evening last week. The Sea Bass was amazing.

Bistro 821
821 5th Avenue South, Naples.

Enjoy!

Best regards,

When I visit SW FL, I always hope Pincher's will be super. Aside from the view from the porch, the food is rarely to my satisfaction.
