Actually, SE Naples. My wife and I will be spending January there playing pickleball at the East Naples Community Park and kayaking around the area. Anyone have any good Italian, Mexican, pizza, or sea food restaurants around there to recommend?

Michelbobs near the airport for some of the best ribs around.

Michelbobs is good. The two suggestions so far are Naples institutions.

When my parents lived in Naples, East Naples was a working class, Spanish speaking immigrant area in Collier County. There’s probably great food within walking distance from the pickle ball courts.

Mexican: Tacos and Tequila on Davis (Tex-mex mostly)
Italian - Campiellos on 3rd St. or several on 5th Ave S. - Tulia, Molto, Caffe Milano
Pizza - No great pizza places around here (although Barbatella on 3rd St., Trattoria on 5th Ave. have decent pies). My fave is The Crust - about 20 min north on Tamiami. But , honestly, unless you're craving pizza, I'd save it for another town.
Seafood: Sea Salt on 3rd St. Captain and Krewe on 8th ave for something more casual. USS Nemo is a local favorite about 10-15 minutes north on Tamiami Trail (and it's next door to Norman Love Chocolates, which I would highly recommend). Sails on 5th is outstanding but pretty expensive.

Not really walking distance from East Naples Community Park area, but all a short drive. ENCP is sort of right between downtown Naples, with lots of great spots and the newer developments a little further east towards Collier Blvd. Not much right there, but there is very cute lunch spot near there on Bayview called 360 Market. There is also a food truck park on Bayview (Celebration Park) with 10 or so trucks and a nice waterfront bar.

Just remember you're coming into high season here, so most places can be pretty busy depending on day and time.

I live in Naples so let me know if there is anything I can help you with.
