If this is actually verified, giving aid and comfort to the enemy - and commies ARE our enemies - he needs stony lonesome. Should be no debate. I can not believe this is factual, just too damn extreme and actionable.

He got commissioned from USMA so he is Regular Army. RA officers don't get reverted to enlisted rank they get drummed out. One can hope. If I were in his command my faith and 'Special Trust and Confidence' would be seriously undermined. _______________________

He could be charged for having an improper uniform, violating the uniform standards. His T-shirt is not uniform standard nor was the writing inside of his cover (hat). Both of those items could see him to a non-judicial punishment (article 15) hearing. __________________________ More blessed than I deserve. http://davesphotography7055.zenfolio.com/f238091154

Yeah, never underestimate the power and influence Senior NCOs have over an officer's career. Even IF the officer leadership doesn't find out about this and intervenes directly (not likely; the entire Army knows about this tool now, and I would bet good money that his chain of command is already directly involved in this), the enlisted can and WILL make this idiot's life miserable. Officers NEED the active participation and cooperation of their enlisted folks in order to progress. Even without actively sabotaging this commie, they can make his life hell by their refusal to cooperate or give their 100% (in non-combat duties, that is). He screwed his own career even before it began. As a white guy, there is no way that he will escape the consequences of these actions (there are still MANY people in the military that truly care about Duty, Honor, Country,[many of whom went to West Point and will take these photos VERY personally] and they WILL get involved). Did that tool just graduate West Point? He should be a nice welcoming party.

The photos show that Rapone engaged in numerous acts that are uniform and honor code violations. In the Army your political opinion is your business, it's expressing that opinion while in uniform that tends to get you in trouble. _____________________________ 'I'm pretty fly for a white guy'.

As has been said, when I enlisted I'm pretty sure they were plain with us about the fact that in order to maintain order and discipline, soldiers forego certain constitutional rights that civilians would have. Among those, IIRC, was freedom to say whatever, whenever. May be misrecalling that. ________________________________________________ "You cannot legislate the poor into freedom by legislating the wealthy out of freedom. He's on a training exercise. Military members die in them every year. A 'chute that doesn't deploy. Trip and fall from a helo. Run over by a tank. Blown up on the demo range. Drop a live grenade. I'm told, a favorite among disgruntled Air Force enlisted during Vietnam war was blanket inside parachute pack instead of parachute....or...a can of brake fluid poured into parachute pack which destroys Nylon. ********* "Some people are alive today because it's against the law to kill them".

Fuck that noise. My dad spent most of his military career prepping for the eventuality of stopping communists-- LOTS of them-- at the Fulda Gap, preferably without the use of nukes (but if necessary, better there than here) and fighting communists in Southeast Asia. My in-laws fled communism with the clothes on their back and struggled to make a life here, where THEIR kids and grandchildren would be safe from that scourge. My early career included work on a squad tracking Communist and Subversive aliens. From my admittedly biased place: Get a rope.

Too old to run, too mean to quit! |
That 9+ years I mentioned before? They were all spent around the Fulda Gap! Our stated mission (3AD) was to keep the bad guys from coming through that Gap. For three days. Then any of us who survived were to infiltrate back and join other units. And I am deadly serious about that. Pre-planned emplacements for tanks, already dug out and camouflaged, etc. Elk There has never been an occasion where a people gave up their weapons in the interest of peace that didn't end in their massacre. Why in the world would this fucktard want to serve given his beliefs? Oh wait.... I remember meeting a young Irishman at a hostel when visiting London in '72 who was waiting to report for training in the British Army. He candidly admitted he wanted the training and after getting it planned to bail to join his IRA mates. I was speachless. So you never know.... West Point response: The U.S. Military Academy strives to develop leaders who internalize the academy's motto of Duty, Honor, Country, and who live the Army values. Second Lieutenant Rapone's actions in no way reflect the values of the U.S. Military Academy or the U.S. Army. As figures of public trust, members of the military must exhibit exemplary conduct, and are prohibited from engaging in certain expressions of political speech in uniform. Second Lieutenant Rapone's chain of command is aware of his actions and is looking into the matter. The academy is prepared to assist the officer's chain of command as required. https://townhall.com/tipsheet/...sm-will-win-n2386755

If this part of the linked story is correct:
