Well gave another shot to the YouTube vid thing. I think it's a humorous video. Hoping to get likes/subscribes/ and comments.

Those things help as well as watching to the end. No idea if watching embedded video is any different. Anyhow if you wouldn't mind commenting on YT with likes and dislikes, ideas, etc. I'd appreciate it.

New Old Fashioned video a few posts below.

Some comic moments, fun to watch. Smile

I noted a couple mentions of 'editing things out' but I take it those edits are in the future?

I thought it would be funny to say I’d edit but not edit.

Thanks Guys! Maybe eventually I'll get enough subscribers to monetize. But I have to improve the vids I'm sure.

New quick video. Not much humor but a great drink.

Again, appreciate going on YouTube and liking, sharing, and especially subscribing and commenting. I need engagement if ever going to monetize and make better video. I need 1000 subscribers. I think I have 3. Big Grin

Suggestions appreciated.

Light diffusion. Glare is distracting. Not sure off the top of my head how I would go about it. Raising camera some might cut things out at the top, but the can lights behind are these shining beacons, like oncoming headlights at night.

Totally dig the bar, though.

And I like old fashioneds. Might have dig into this.

In exchange, a submission. The Milky Way.
Equal parts Kahlua, Irish cream and butterscotch schnapps. Shake with ice, strain. Not complicated, but tastes like a Milky Way bar.

Thanks. I agree on the lights. I will try some different lighting. I have tons of lights in the bar that can all be adjusted.

Although, not getting any subscribers so I'll keep this up for fun for a bit. But unless I have some winning improvements not sure how motivated to continue I'll be.

I will try the Milky Way. The recipe sounds familiar.

When making an Old Fashioned, I typically just build it in the glass. And I've always been told to never pour booze over ice. I always add the ingredients, then add ice to the mixing glass.

You REALLY need a clear ice maker. Either that or do a video to demonstrate the 'cooler' method. Though there are several already out there. Leandro did one for The Educated Barfly. Though there are others.

I made reference to the cooler method clear ice to purposefully trash it. The point of my videos is to somewhat mock the other channels. We are home bartenders. We don’t need clear ice and clear ice has never made my cocktails taste better.

It could perhaps slow dilution get ain’t nobody got time for that. No idea why you wouldn’t pour booze over ice.

My other videos mock the fresh squeezed juice aspect also. Leandro did a video and he confused the hell out of himself and the audience because he had no idea which was which.

Anyhow I appreciate the comments. Would like if you guys could comment in YouTube. Good or bad helps the analytics.

I've never had a rum based old fashioned. However, I recently tried a tequila based old fashioned at a Mexican restaurant on my birthday and it was delicious. Still prefer whiskey, but it was a nice change of pace. I'll have to try rum some time.

I highly recommend the Barbancourt 15 for this drink. I've done it with some other rums and not as good. It is a sweet one for an old fashioned.

I like my clear ice cubes.

I've made a few Oaxacan Old Fashioneds, but like a Mezcal Negroni better.

I've not had one, but I've heard an Old Fashioned made with Old Tom is pretty good. I'm just too cheap to go buy a bottle of Old Tom just to try one cocktail.

Irish cream and butterscotch schnapps is AKA a Buttery Nipple.
