Today hundreds of thousands of young people are protesting “Gun violence” and calling for elimination of so called assault rifles. Some are calling for age 21 as minimum age to have anything to do with guns.

According to CDC statistics:

In 2015, 2,333 teens in the United States ages 16–19 were killed and 235,845 were treated in emergency departments for injuries suffered in motor vehicle crashes.1 That means that six teens ages 16–19 died every day from motor vehicle injuries.

If the protestors are truly concerned about saving lives now and into the future, perhaps we should eliminate driving privileges for all those under age 21.

Just making suggestions on rational and true facts.

All of these young people are potential future Domocrat voters. They know this. Thousands more. The Democrats are capitalizing for their own gains. Preaching to the choir of course.

And who is shooting the school kids? Other school kids.

Logic doesn't apply in their world.

According to the CDC, 4400 teenagers a year commit suicide because of being bullied, where is the protest and speeches about that ? Where is all the concern about each other at the protests to speak about that? Why don’t they talk about the kid who did the shooting, and who bullied him, made fun of him and made him feel like an outcast ? Probably because they would have to look in the mirror to find those people.

What they fail to see is the last two mass shootings, a church in Tx and a school in FL, already had laws and procedures in place that should have prevented those shootings.

So the solution is to pass more laws that are to be followed by the same agencies that failed on the prior shootings. Why don't we work on improving the agencies to use what is already in place, doing that just might have a positive effect on the real problem.

The subject of the event doesn't really matter that much as long is it's also seen to be against Republicans and Donald Trump.

Looks like the little darlings are willing to sacrifice my interests. I'm sure if they read that cell phones cause over seven deaths per day mostly due to distracted drivers, they all would be willing to give up theirs to save lives.

I just read on another site (gasp what is this blasphemy?) that Hogg the apparent leader/speaker is now not happy that Parkland school is requiring that all backpacks entering the school must be clear so contents are visible.
He even stated in an interview that this might be a “rights violation”, of all things for him to say. I guess he has only read the first amendment in Our bill of rights.

Check out the pictures of him raising his fist in Nazi/fascist fashion at the end of his speech.
Real special behavior, reminiscent of many fascist rallies such as 1939 Nuremberg.

They are 8 times more likely to be killed by texting and driving then by gun fire.
Seems like comon sense cell phone laws are needed.
When is the march to ban them for teenagers?
Realistically you should be 21 to purchase a cell phone.
This would be a great first step to protect the children.
