I don't have time to dig for it right now, but wasn't there a picture of Elizabeth Warren with a beer, here on SIGforum?

Sam Adams sells beer, and is doing a charity with Womens Day. So what.
Chic-Fil-A apparently hates gays or whatever.
Benchmade doesn't support the second amendment. Yee-frickin-haw.
Can we all just not buy the things we don't want to buy without making a big deal out of it?
Dick's are dicks, Levi-Straus are also dicks, and so on and on and on. If you pay attention to every company and product you buy, you might find you can't buy any products, if you continually connect them with politics.
I'd say that companies making donations to anti-2A causes is something to note, but seriously it doesn't matter at all that Sam Adams named a beer after a Supreme Court Justice. Let's all be selective about the things we bother paying attention to, or even being remotely perturbed about. Much less, upset.
Exactly my point. I think it is silly to get in a twist over this. It makes us look just as snow-flakey as the left.

| Jim Koch, founder and owner of Sam Adams, I believe is a Trump supporter or, at least spoke well of the tax legislation POTUS passed last year in helping small business' in the US. This particular Ginsburg beer is likely a special one-off to placate the liberals in his company and I don't believe sign of the times.
It doesn't diminish in anyway my opinion of Sam Adams brewery, which I do enjoy their other offerings. Brands like Levi's, DSG, Patagonia, REI and others who've made larger, strategic decisions by turning and placating left, are more in the crosshairs of my 'don't buy' list. |

Well I'm not going to stop drinking Sam Adams. That'd be a bit over the top. I'll still be buying plenty of it. I just won't be supporting this nonsense by buying this particular beer. And it is nonsense. "When there are Nine"? Please. quote: Originally posted by jhe888:

Who's getting into a twist? I'm just pointing out a really stupid idea for a beer. Can you imagine nine women on the Supreme Court? ~shudder~

Delusions of Adequacy
| is it ironic if "When There Are Nine" only comes in a six pack? There's really nothing Belgian about "Belgian IPA", it's a trendy bastardized style that's pretty much unknown there. Just an IPA that's been brewed using a different yeast strain.

It does sound like a bastard style. Belgians are one of my favorite styles, but I don't want an IPA hopped Belgian.

That and a taste for forgettable beer. People rave about this stuff, but it turned out to just a slightly better version of any American factory beer to my taste. What a disappointment.

| I thought Ruthie already had a beer dedicated to her...Seems a bit more appropriate.

Exactly my thoughts, I like Belgian Style Ales, especially "Triples" and have never found one which was at all hoppy. I would think that a IPA really cannot be Belgian style, could this be a subtle comment on RBG's style as well? |
