Only time I read the local paper is at the barber shop.

I still read the paper daily, I guess out of habit more than anything else. I'm an old fart, retired, and set in my ways; I have been reading the paper with breakfast since the 50's and too old to change.

If you are referring to my flip phone as a burner, I am guilty as charged. I have no reason to own a smart phone---the only thing I use a phone for is to make and receive calls. I don't text, twit, tweet, or use social media and the number of calls I receive isn't enough for cell company to make a buck. I get maybe 3 0r 4 calls a month.

Same thing here. My wife isn't tech savvy so it's her link to the outside world. I get my news online and prefer it that way.

Every "news" paper around here in SE Michigan is so liberal oriented that I have refused free subscriptions. No, I do not read them.

The local rag here comes out once a week and never has any coverage of anything in the least bit controversial. So unless you want to know what the scores were on local kids Little League games, you don't waste your money.

I subscribe to our town newspaper. I like to read it while I have my coffee in the morning. The paper is actually fairly conservative, which is a breath of fresh air in these liberal-infested parts.

St. Louis Post-Dispatch delivered every morning. I mostly read the sports and comics, but scan everything else. The immediacy of the internet makes it difficult for print to stay current.

Haven't read an actual Houston Chronicle in probably 25 years. Used to get it every day, then dwindled it down to just weekend delivery, then eventually just dropped it completely. Waste of money unless you're one to clip grocery coupons from the Sunday flyers...

I pick up and read the Washington Times whenever I can. Good conservative rag.

I read the local daily every morning, while I drink coffee. It's a ritual. I also want to be sure I don't appear in the obits.

I pick up a copy out of the box on the street corner now and then, when I run out of paper to light the chimney on my charcoal grill.

Same here. The Denver Post is a liberal rag but old habits die hard. Still miss the Rocky Mountain News every single day.

My girlfriend delivered The Advocate out of Baton Rouge for 31 years. I helped her the last 20. We got out of it 3 years ago this month and haven't touched a paper since.
The last route was in lower Livingston Parish and when the older customers died there was no new customers to take their place. You get so many cents per paper and when you loose a customer it's a cut in pay.

And as so many papers it was turning into a liberal rag and customers quit too.

Wife's sister drops off the Bangor Daily News (Bangor Deadly) when she stops by to pick up her mail and I pull out the funny pages and do the crossword.

I MIGHT glance at an article if a headline or picture catches my eye, but I can usually predict their take on it.

If there was any Truth in Advertising, they'd call it the Bangor Democrat and Clinton Lapdog.

I still get the paper. It does a fair job of covering local issues and that's why I get it. The Op-Ed pages are imported from Communist areas of the country.
I also do the X-word puzzle. Oddly, the published word search puzzle is from.... Australia!

I would read the local paper, but I am allergic to newsprint. Touching it makes my skin itch, and I really don’t like the smell either. So I usually limit my reading to glossy magazines or the interweb.

Our local papers are a joke but I read the WSJ every day.

My subscription includes the paper and the iPad app. I prefer old school newsprint.
