Are you looking for the cheapest 65" tv possible? Or, do you want something with a little quality?

Personally, I'd look long and hard into this one. These things get terrific reviews and according to some reviewers run neck and neck with TV's costing significantly more money. Take care of your new TV 'and' screaming device needs all at one time. Smile

Yep, although I haven't seen it in person yet I was going to suggest that one. It's already $300 off, no real reason to wait until Friday.

The TCLs are not a bad TV at all my mother has one.

They are no Sony though.
I highly suggest getting the Sony that you can afford.

I have a 4 year old Sony from before 4K being cool and it is quite the stunning picture.
The in-laws have the newer 4K HDR version and a ridiculous 85” 4K HDR model. They are unbelievable at times dependent upon the 4K content.

As I somewhat noted above, TCL TV's are a less expensive 4K UHD option. Will they provide the same picture quality a $2,500+ LG OLED or Samsung QLED will? Nope, but the picture quality won't be far behind, all the while costing ~$750 and including a ROKU device with HDR which none of the others include.

Costco has some great deals on Samsung 65" right now.…..They have a 4k UHD starting at $479.99. Also the warranty is generally double if you buy it at Costco. I wouldn't touch a TCL, I'd rather spend the little bit extra and get a Samsung.

I'm willing to pay 7-800 bucks or so.

That TCL looks interesting, but I'm not impressed with a $190 shipping charge (Best Buy)

We have three Samsung 4k UHD TVs. I prefer their picture in a side-by-side comparison with anything else.

What's the consensus on this:

65" Sanyo UHD 4K 2160p Roku TV

I've had a 55" Sanyo HD TV for 12 years and it's been a good buy.

Not that I have Roku, or even know what it actually is

Or this SAMSUNG 65" Class 4K UHD 2160p LED Smart TV with HDR for 475 bucks reduced from 797.

I just picked this one up on Monday, and the picture is unbelievable, I have watched movies I have seen before, and there is no comparison to my old Samsung Plasma.

It's a bit over your price range, but I cannot believe how much better the picture is.

I have that one and it is fantastic. TCL just released an app (iPQ) which auto calibrates your color too and boy does that help makes things POP.

Again, I'm not paying nearly 200 bucks to Best Buy for delivery. That makes the TV nearly $1000 and not much of a deal at all.

My daughter just got a 65" LG 4K TV at target for $400. I am normally a Samsung fan but I bought an LG for my newly finished basement a couple of years ago at Costco. It has been a good TV for me.

You have a Costco near you? If yes, you can even get double the warranty and/or get it shipped for free.

Again, Google some of the reviews of the Series 6 TCL TV's. They really are impressive for the money. And as someone who's owned five total Samsung TV's over time, their current offers aren't what they once were in terms of build quality. My newest Samsungs have also been my most recent failures. From now on I spend as little as I need to to buy a nice picture and feature set with the assumption I'll be replacing it in a few years.

65" Samsung for $479.99 at Costco with free delivery:

https://www.costco.com/samsung...oduct.100455688.html

Apparently you do need to be a member. I didn't think you did because it shows the price without signing in, but if try to check out, you have to sign in.

EDIT: You have to sign up for an online account, but you do not have to buy a membership. There is a 5% surcharge for non-members, so in this case it adds $24, for a total of $503.99.

I don't know if you can join Costco without going in to a location, but if you can join online you can save the $24, and Costco lets you return anything within a year, including your Costco membership. You can buy a membership, use it for 11 months +, and can cancel before a year is up for a full refund on your membership. That's a lot of trouble for $24, but you can try a membership risk free.

My SIL bought the $479.99 Samsung for his garage. This is a 2,000 sq ft outside building he keeps is 5th wheel and toys in. He fires up his wood stove and watches football on the weekends out there. Running a wireless Directv hookup, the picture is only fair. I wouldn’t buy it myself.

He has the $1,000 65” Samsung in his living room. It’s fantastic.
