P250UA5Olight i5T Died - Discontinued
My i5T Eos decided to fail on me a week ago, the tail cap [I think] failed & it won't turn off.
Looks like it's discontinued & only the i3T is available in the same style/form.
Cheap light, so in the end it's not a huge loss, but I never realized how much I used it until I didn't have it in my pocket.
The Arkfeld looks interesting, with the 'flat' profile.

gearhoundsDo they not support repairs at all if discontinued? I’ve had other companies able to repair even if discontinued. Try turning it on and off by loosening and tightening the tail cap; if the switch is bad, but contact is good, you can still use it, albeit as a twistie instead of a clicky.

Thanks, I'll try support first, before buying a replacement.

Twist wouldn't work, it turns on pretty quickly & would have to be loose enough to make pocket carry not an option.

92fstechI hate it when a tool I like gets discontinued. Hopefully Olight can help you out. If they can't, check out the Streamlight Macrostream. I'm on my second since losing my first one, and have been very happy with them.

markandI have 4 Olight flashlights and one Olight weapon mounted laser/light. None work, all ceasing to function shortly after acquisition. Never had any success with their customer service. I was told several times a replacement was on the way. Never happened. I'll never buy another.

This is my 2nd i5T, the first got snagged on the seatbelt in a 737 & left in the cabin [I think]. Didn't notice until we were at baggage claim.
Never had a problem with either until now.

PerceptionI've got an Arkfeld Pro. It's just ok. The clips suck and break off as fast as you can put them on there. Olight will send a new clip, but it's just going to break off too.
Other than that, it's a pretty decent light. Non-removable battery if that matters to you, so once it's dead it's dead. Aside from the clip, it's well built and very solid, but it just wasn't throwy enough for me to use on a daily basis. It's also colder than I like, but I could have lived with that if it had more throw. It's brighter and throwier than the i5t though, so that probably wouldn't be an issue for you. They also have newer editions that have more throw, but I'm not coming off that much money for another light that I will rarely carry.
I'd say go for it if it intrigues you. The laser and UV are mostly a gimmick most people won't use, but they both work well if you need them.

Two of my first three Olights failed quickly. Newer ones have been more reliable for me though, so while I don't find them to be a great value I pick one up occasionally.

"Odd," said Arthur, "I thought you said it was a democracy."
"I did," said Ford, "it is."
"So," said Arthur, hoping he wasn't sounding ridiculously obtuse, "why don't the people get rid of the lizards?"
"It honestly doesn't occur to them. They've all got the vote, so they all pretty much assume that the government they've voted in more or less approximates the government they want."
"You mean they actually vote for the lizards."
"Oh yes," said Ford with a shrug, "of course."
"But," said Arthur, going for the big one again, "why?"
"Because if they didn't vote for a lizard, then the wrong lizard might get in." March 12, 2026, 10:57 AM

I don't have any experience with i5t, but I'm a fan of i3t. I've been carrying one for about four years now. Liked it so much I bought one for everyone on my crew at the previous job.

If they don't do any warranty/goodwill on the i5T, I'll probably pick up a couple i3T. For $20 it's a decent deal.

P250UA5Submitted it for warranty, we'll see what they say

snorisFenix. I have four, including one I mount on my AR with a tailcap switch.

P250UA5Well, their response is to send it in for evaluation.
If shipping is even close to $20, it'd be easier to just order an i3T.

Sure enough, was going to cost $15-20 to ship mine back.
Their response, keep it, and a new i3T is in the mail.

UTsigI was the one that had a good experience with them. I only own the Baton 4 but have gifted at least 6 to folks. To my knowledge all are still working, now I'll follow up with the people. I know my friend has an Arkfeld and his wife an I5T that I gave them and both still work. Same friend has a weapon light that he bought and is satisfied with it.
Not sure if I'll buy others, I wait for the sales and if something jumps out I'll get it.

Good! I’m looking forward to your opinions on the i3t.

220-9erI don't know how much they are or how bad you want that specific model, but FWIW, there are several new old stock on ebay.

P250UA5I don't know how much they were, both of the ones I had were gifts.
The i3T is only $20

P250UA5Update:
Got the i3T
Noticeably thinner than the i5T, and the low/high brightness is more distinct. I like that the low setting is pretty dim, useful if you don't want big light right off the start.
Didn't realize how often I was using the i5 until it wasn't in my pocket.
Props to Olight, could see adding a few more of these & putting them in each car.
Have picked up a few of the orange WalMart Ozark Trail folders & have one in both cars.
Cheap throwaways that aren't a heartbreaker if lost or broken.
