If people knew how many agencies study “climate change”- in other words, piss away tax dollars on it- they’d be appalled. Several agencies basically doing the same exact “research”.

I had a similar experience. Our cruise ship coasted around Glacier Bay all day. Park rangers had boarded early in the morning to provide commentary. As they were preparing to disembark, the spokesperson made some plea about global warming and disappearing glaciers.

All I could think to myself was that if we kept all the glaciers in place, there would not be a Yosemite NP.

You can't truly call yourself "peaceful" unless you are capable of great violence. If you're not capable of great violence, you're not peaceful, you're harmless.

where was it written in stone that said that glaciers are a natural and persistent part of the ecosystem?

what if the existence of glaciers is an anomaly, and not the norm? After all, the oldest measured glacier on the planet is only 33 million years old and the plant is over 4 billion, so the existence of glaciers is a small fraction of the entire planets life time

perhaps the norm is no glaciers...

You mean like the fact that Iceland had no glaciers when the Vikings showed up in the 9th c.? And how the whole island's glaciation has formed DURING human occupation and is now beginning to retreat?

But THINK ABOUT THE GLACIERS! They'll all be goooooooone!

Good point.

There had to have been some frantic back-peddling on a live broadcast recently that took place in Greenland. The film crew and a couple of Global Warmingists were standing at the foot of a glacier that was reportedly retreating, albeit not at a rate detectable to the human eye.

The signs of its reduction were all there for even the dumbest to see, one ecologist offered.

Why, look, said another, pointing at an area of ground recently exposed in front of the face, that is to say within the last ten years or so, isn't that where they used to be a building of some kind? Why yes, offered the local historian, there used to be a sizeable village there about 7-800 years ago, it is mentioned in the local church records as having a population of around 200 people, and it went from here right back up the valley where the glacier is now.......oh.......

libtards cannot manage their own lives, yet they think they can manage the climate?
I suspect the concern is a result of the glaciers being a major draw for tourists--they are very beautiful and majestic--and their disappearance would detract somewhat from the attractiveness of the view, thereby reducing the inclination of tourists to come.

Waterton Lakes is in Canada--easily accessible, but a Passport is required.
