Hilarious and not satire. Glacier National Park to remove all 'glaciers will be gone by 2020' signs Glacier National park is removing signs around the park, stating all glaciers will be melted by 2020. Glacier National Park Spokesperson Gina Kurzmen tells MTN that since the early 2000s scientists have reflected and analyzed data stating glaciers would recede by 2020. She explains that the latest research shows shrinking, but in ways much more complex than what was predicted. Because of this, the park must update all signs around the park stating all glaciers will be melted by 2020. The sign at St. Mary’s visitor center was removed in May of last year and other signs will be removed around the park as budgets permit. Kurzmen tells MTN that the park will work with the US Geological Survey to monitor the glaciers and update the remainder of the signs as necessary.

Maybe they should just make the signs like fuel prices at the gas station, then they can conveniently change the date of demise. Exactly. For my entire life the climate alarmists have been predicting doom and gloom just around the corner. Think Al Gore. Then, when the predictions don't come true, they just try to pretend they never made that prediction and make a new alarming prediction. "Some things are apparent. Where government moves in, community retreats, civil society disintegrates and our ability to control our own destiny atrophies. The result is: families under siege; war in the streets; unapologetic expropriation of property; the precipitous decline of the rule of law; the rapid rise of corruption; the loss of civility and the triumph of deceit. The result is a debased, debauched culture which finds moral depravity entertaining and virtue contemptible." -- Justice Janice Rogers Brown "The United States government is the largest criminal enterprise on earth." -rduckwor

What is that saying about those who fail to learn from history? Well, these morons absolutely REFUSE to accept the hard evidence of previous ice ages!!! But they are getting too much money to support their lunacy, so they will never stop. Over the last several years I have seen "evidence" that proves some number of ice ages. Earlier, the number was 16 based on Antarctic ice core samples. I just did a search to see what the latest data show. The most common answer seems to be five. Looks kind of like these "scientists" just pick a number and then develop the "data" to prove it. In any event, we don't have to worry about it any time soon. I'm a bit surprised that a government operation has set their sights on the 'lowly' goal of simply changing the signs in the park, when a far more efficient means of spending tax payer dollars at exorbitant rates would be to hand rangers extension cords and hair dryers in an effort to make the original prediction come true on schedule.

Just parroting and spouting "Al Gore bullshit". Shrinkage?? "If you’re a leader, you lead the way. Not just on the easy ones; you take the tough ones too…” – MAJ Richard D. I'm still trying to figure pout why everyone is so concerned about glaciers where was it written in stone that said that glaciers are a natural and persistent part of the ecosystem? what if the existence of glaciers is an anomaly, and not the norm? After all, the oldest measured glacier on the planet is only 33 million years old and the plant is over 4 billion, so the existence of glaciers is a small fraction of the entire planets life time perhaps the norm is no glaciers... libtards cannot manage their own lives, yet they think they can manage the climate? That's certainly possible. It's also demonstrably true that the glaciers didn't start to recede at the beginning of the industrial revolution. Why is the size of a glacier at that point of any significance? Maybe we should shoot for getting all of the Northern Plains back under ice, too.

I was recently on an Alaskan cruise. The Parks people board the ship and give a lecture about the glaciers in and around Glacier bay. Interesting that while the general spin was all about global warming the details were about glaciers that had both advanced and withdrawn repeatedly over 150 years or so. Well, one can also say then that homo sapiens aren't the norm on this planet either. But the point is still valid. These climate alarmists somehow believe that right now is the way it's supposed to be forever and always. Hit the pause button so to speak. Cause otherwise, couldn't one make the argument that we should be under a mile of ice all the way down to Utah? Why is it that where glaciers are or were 100 years ago is exactly where they were always meant to be. Took a Ranger led hike to Avalanche Lake several years ago. I had to roll my eyes at the BS that was being shoveled. I enjoy Glacier NP more than Yellowstone. It's still what I would consider crowded, but not as crowded as Yellowstone. I think Yellowstone is a bit overrated. If you want the mountains, but don't want the crazy crowds, go up north of Glacier to Waterton Lakes, AB. One of my favorite places.
