Are You All Seeing Lots Of People Getting Colds/Flu Right Now?
Since reading this thread, I’ve developed a scratchy throat. Hope it doesn’t get worse.

Thanks a lot….

I’m finally feeling better after two weeks of coughing with a few days of chills.

One of my family members has been sick since September. We just can not get healthy at the same time.

I started coming down with something last Wednesday and am finally feeling 100% again. Symptoms included a runny nose, drowsiness, and feeling foggy.

Here's a funny ol' thing...

I mentioned, a few posts back, my wife said she felt like she was "coming down with something" night-before-last. So that night she downed a tablespoon of elderberry extract. Next day she felt fine.

The woman who ran my old gym swore by that stuff. Claimed every time she, her husband, or her child started feeling sick they'd start downing 1-3 tablespoons of the stuff per day until the symptoms subsided and they'd be ok. Usually took no more than one or two tablespoons to do the trick.

Now I readily admit it could be bunkum (though there is this meta study), but, other than Covid-19, year-before-last, and covidflumonian, last year, we've had the same experiences.

Make of it what you will ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Been some nasty funk going around. Wife was sick for about 10 days and coworker was out almost 2 weeks!

Isolation rooms and all associated activities to keep those rooms hygienically clean has markedly accelerated in recent days.
In one hospital, I’m told some patients have both covid and flu. First I’ve heard of this, although the source isn’t medical staff… If true, I can’t imagine how lousy those patients must feel.

It's not "bunkum" at all. Elderberry is a known/proven antiviral. Hippocrates himself called it nature's medicine chest.

I pick them wild around here and make my own syrup and jellies. This year I took some cuttings and am attempting to grow a bunch on my property.

Just getting over a cold it has lingered for 3 weeks now. Snotty nose cough from drainage. I won’t get the flu shot because they are using the mRNA BS in some of the shots.

Entire house has. Kids had it last week me and wife have it now. Chest congestion and cough and sinus pressure. I feel bad I missed church today. Oh well happy new years. I’m sure I will be better by Tuesday. Lots of vitamin c zinc and hot tea. And a shot of nyquil before bed.

Wife has had some type of crud for the last week, just can't seem to get past it. Some mornings she will wake up feeling pretty good, for it just to knock her down later in the day. Granted she works in an ER so she is surrounded by all the nasty bugs. all the Drs and nurses have been hit with the same stuff. she's triage NP so sees it all first

So far so good. I use a homemade nasal spray - Betadyne solution mixed 10 parts saline to 1 part Betadyne. Add a few drops peroxide, 20 parts saline to 1 peroxide. Put it in a nose spray bottle and hit a couple squirts 3 or 4 times a day in each nostril.
