Yes, of course she's just pandering to her base...
She represents San Francisco.... which is full of homeless street urchins but also plenty of ultra-rich.
What San Francisco lacks is much of a middle class.

"Some things are apparent. Where government moves in, community retreats, civil society disintegrates and our ability to control our own destiny atrophies. The result is: families under siege; war in the streets; unapologetic expropriation of property; the precipitous decline of the rule of law; the rapid rise of corruption; the loss of civility and the triumph of deceit. The result is a debased, debauched culture which finds moral depravity entertaining and virtue contemptible."
-- Justice Janice Rogers Brown

And a working class. Both deficits stretch back (I kid you not) at least 30 years to the time when Dianne Feinstein was the mayor of SF.

Is anyone actually seeing more money in their checks? I haven't seen a single dime's worth of an increase and neither has anyone else in the office or anyone else that I know of.

Do you know of anyone who's got more to spend than before? Seriously, I don't know anyone but I hear people talking about the windfall.

My son, and the friend I shoot with both got a bump, once the withholding tables were adjusted in January. These are the only two I've asked (I don't draw a paycheck), so batting 100% here, but both are in NC. Where are you based? Reason I'm asking is maybe in your case, state/local tax changes may be obfuscating a federal reduction?

Two hundred a month more in my check. Better in my pocket than some democrat who simply looks to give it away,.

Yes.
Maybe a call to your payroll department asking if they’ve updated their system is in order.

I don’t know the income range but for some if you meet your SS minimums in September, for example, your net pay will increase by the amount that was deducted for SS in October to December. In these cases, comparing a March 2018 paycheck to a December 2017 paycheck won’t provide the correct data for comparison.

Hollow promise from Pelosi to get votes? She's not even being supported by her own party for the next election. Now she'll know what Trump is experiencing...

If people would mind their own damn business this country would be better off. I owe no one an explanation or an apology for my personal opinion.

More like her predecessor Moscone in mid-70s, started the slide, she just helped it along. They didn't help the shipping industry by modernizing the rail lines to the piers. They said F-U SF we'll take our business to Oakland. They screwed the shipbuilding industry in Dogpatch and Hunter's Point, both had the oldest shipyards on the West Coast with the manpower available. Then they pushed out all the suppliers and processors from Butcher Town, the area off of 3rd and Evens.
The only middle that was left is white-collar office workers/clerks and service industry persons...restaurants, bars, hospitality and domestic labor.

Ugh. And then DiFi wanted to subsidize rents for middle and working class folks on the theory that they'd somehow magically find work in SF. Those idiots.

I'd be curious how the new tax laws affect people like her, difi, and the zuckerpucks of the country. And if it hurts them, in which specific ways (cap gains, deductions/credits, ??).

Not really. Her base is every bit as delusional as she. How do you suppose she keeps getting reelected? They'll eat it up.

Yes - HER constituents will. But, what about all of the other Democrats throughout the country? Not every set of Democrat constituents are as stupid as Pelosi's.

Of all the enemies the American citizen faces, the Democrat Party is the very worst.

Never under estimate the stupidity of a large percentage of american voters. democrats raise taxes, people complain but in the next election cycle vote for the same democrats that keep raising taxes and fees. The Democrats will demonize the tax break as only helping the wealthy, the sheep and free stuff crowd will buy their arguement, and happily vote to have their tax break taken away.
