Is this something you guys are seeing? We have seen a HUGE increase in the past year of credit card offers and "deals" coming by mail. Sometimes like 3-4-5 a day.

We pay our credit card bills on time, credit is very good. I think we have 4 active credit cards right now and are working toward a zero balance on all of them this year.

Is this because of that? Or are credit card companies in a panic right now? I see new ones but also lots of offers and deals on credit cards we already have.

It just seems like all this exploded in the past 12-18 months.

You can opt out of some of those - the 'pre-screened' ones, anyway. Details from ftc.gov here.

That said, I don't know that all the companies honor those opt-outs, and I don't think this opt-out would stop offers from companies you are already doing business with. But it should cut down the blizzard of offers down to maybe just flurries.

We get only one or two a month, same as always. Your online activity (or something else) must be making you more attractive to those companies.
