He should be with how they want to enforce the rules now but you never know how the league will handle it. He drives through him with an elbow/forearm to the head/neck. The CBJ player was getting up so he was low but Kucherov shouldn't have made that hit and could have avoided it.

One again... "Boom"

Thank you CBJ. See you at Nationwide on Sunday Smile

Oh, and Kucherov should get a game, but he won't. Just look at how the league ignored the hit last year by Wilson on Wennberg. Nothing from the league on that hit. But same hit by Wilson on a Penns player (Letang maybe??) in the second round and they suspend him.

I am not saying the NHL is specifically giving the CBJ the long dry shaft, but I know there is little, if any respect for our team in the league (some say we have not earned it yet, but this is our 4th staight year in the playoffs).

I am happy... Hope the CBJ show up for Game 3 (I don't want a repeat of last year's series). The 5th Line will be there in force and rocking the house.

Tampa was the safest bet in Vegas.
They dominated the entire season.
Looks like they are running out of steam.
Tonight was just a great TV hockey night.

And now the series comes back to St. Louis!

Bruins and Preds had better put their big boy breezers on decide they had better skate and check. Bruins were not checking AT ALL in game 1. Chara should be planting dudes left and right, legally, of course. That's where it'll be good to get Kevan Miller back (dammit to hell, he got hurt in like the next to last game of the season...AGAIN!) Mad

Nikita Kucherov gets a one-game suspension for the hit. Not good for TB.

EXCELLENT, but not enough!!!

Yup...DEFINITELY a cheap shot. Sunuvubitch deserves every minute after that one...

Kadri got 3 games for this one last year, so I was hoping Kucherov would get more than 1. Notice the 3RD PERIOD score when this cheap-shot bastard clobbered Wingels:

I agree completely that Kucherov was trying to send a message but it should have been 3 games. These types of selfish cheap shots should cost teams.

I don't disagree it should have been longer. I think him being a first offender with no prior suspensions and being the playoffs played a role in it.

It was a dirty hit, at the end of a game that was already decided. This is the type of stuff the NHL says they want to get rid but then leave you wondering.

It sure was!

One "benefit" of having the Hawks out of the playoffs (again) is that I have no one to root for and just want to see some good hockey. We saw some good hockey last night.

The Preds are definitely looking better than they did in game one but the Dallas Stars are hanging in there. Going to OT!
And.... Preds win. Series tied.

B's played tonight like they shoulda played in game 1. Kadri, that asshole, just might have gotten himself another 3+ game suspension for the crosscheck to Jake Debrusk's head. If it's less than 3 games, there is no justice in the safety office. Hopefully Krug is OK...he took a helluva hit in the 2nd period.

MFer goes into that meeting with history. And BAD history...
