Yeah me too. I got the extra long ArcMate. I use it to pick up the thorny bougainvillea trimmings. Those thorns are no joke.

I took a look at his site, listened to his rap.

His site is timecube-ish but compared to the master, he has far to go.

His brain is stuck in gear. He probably has trouble sleeping because his engine is revving all the time. Based upon the very little I know, I don't think he would hurt anyone and he's probably quite loyal to his friends and would be willing to do much for them. There's certainly an element of genius peeking through the incoherence, but, yeah, I think his little riverboat captain has fled the wheelhouse.

Great - now I have an image of the eagle wearing a boat captain's hat in my mind.

Off to find a song to help erase it . . . .

Yes, that’s accurate.

He came home. I talked with him today. He must have got some medication. He seemed more coherent, not completely but more. I have a feeling he’s going to try to eventually sell me something. Like Amway.

They do that, no one wants to take the meds because it kills their sex drive or turns them into a turnip.

He’ll be off it soon and back to being weird.

We had a guy in Wilson that was like that. Dude had office chairs as bushes around his house, literally planted turning office chairs where bushes would go. We’d get calls on him, and if he was manic we’d involuntarily commit him.

He once sent or said something online about Barack Obama and the secret service came out to talk to him. I told the agent that K was certified batshit crazy but don’t worry it’s not contagious. We asked the agent to stop back by when he was done talking to K, he agent said I was right. I told him I had to sit with K while he was being involuntarily committed once. Six hours of listening to a whack job.

Turns out it was a psychiatric warrant. He’s going to the loony bin.

Is your neighbor still “taken away”. I wouldn’t think they could hold him unless he’s been charged with a crime.

I don't think you're done hearing about it. He'll be 'off his meds' at some point. Amway would be too mild (though that is funny).

Depends on state law. Generally an affidavit is filed by a mental health provider and the cops show up to place him on a three day hold in a crisis unit. A clinical psychologist determines if he is a threat to himself or others. Next is a Lunacy hearing where he is reprsented by an attorney. Testimony is taken and the judge releases him or sends him to a state inpatient psychiatric facility until such time that he is no longer a threat. NO criminal charges involved.

However, he disappeared again after about 4 days. This time his car is gone as well. So, I haven't seen him for about 3 months so far. His web site also went defunct sometime since then.

He's known locally, so potentially moved on to an area where he can live without fear of the police taking him back to court to be put into the nut house.

But, he'll pop up on his web page, they will find out where he's moved and notify the locals there, maybe...

PA must have poor mental health services. He belongs in a halfway house with other psychotic individuals where he has a chance at sanity. In the past they gave folks like him a one way bus ticket to Philly. Does not sound much better now.
