Jomashop is good.

Yesterday was the first day jewelry stores in AZ were allowed to reopen and well worn, pre-owned Rolexes I saw were plenty more expensive than new ones. But the used ones were in stock and new ones on endless order.

TBH, I didn't think this issue also applied to Omegas.

Not sure about that. Mayor's jewelry in Fort Lauderdale, FL and JR.Dunn in Lighthouse Point, FL are AD's and have a ton of inventory at all time.

I just snagged an Explorer on eBay today from a local guy. It's a long story, but we weren't able to take it outside of eBay to avoid fees, shipping and sales tax, so I'm getting a sales tax kick to the balls, but it's still way less than any of the local shops have them for, way less.

I’ve purchased a couple of Planet Oceans and Aqua Terras from Jomashop. No problems, and they were quick to answer the phone and answer any questions I had. I knew I was getting grey market. Watches were new in box with plastic still on them, serial numbers intact.

I’ve purchased several brand new watches from Jomashop, my last being a nice Hamilton Khaki, and prior to that a Fortis B42 Cosmonaut and a Tissot Navigator. I can’t recall prior to that offhand but they are good to go. Like others have stated, the difference is only how the warranty is handled. I’m ok with that.

You don't get the factory warranty, but the watch will be good to go. Jomashop offers its own warranty.

I have purchased from Watchmaxx and Authenticwatches too a without issues. Jomashop usually has better prices, but it’s worth it to give them a look. Inventory varies from seller to seller.

We've made a couple of purchases from Jomashop in the past (never anything as upscale and pricey as an Omega) and have been perfectly satisfied with the experiences. Never needed any warranty work with the pieces we have purchased.

We trudge on.

Okay Stick. My watch was supposed to arrive a couple of days ago on Wednesday but it just arrived today. Mild gripe with fedex. Delivery was supposed to require a signature. I was notified delivery was postponed till Thursday- so I waited all day and no delivery and no update on the website. At 0146 hours today I got an email saying it was due to arrive today (the 15th). It finally arrived at just after 5 pm. The driver just left it on the front porch! I was working in the back yard and just happened to see the truck. By the time I walked around front the driver was gone. I guess the driver will come back and get my signature verifying receipt.

On to the watch. The watch looks new and came with pictogram and master chronometer certification cards and manual. No Omega warranty card. I was disappointed with the box that came with it. Everything I’ve seen showed they now come in a very nice wooden box. Mine came in a red Omega box. Not a big deal because realistically I’ll probably never put it back in the box. I bought this as a retirement present to myself so I won’t be trading or selling it.

This is the planet ocean with the calibre 8900 that I ordered and it looks great. I have read the manual and set the time. Hopefully it will be as accurate as advertised. I’ll post a photo tomorrow.

Yes, Omega WILL service your watch when it is out of warranty, just like it will with ANY Omega product.

Speaking from experience at the Atlanta location, they will not survive any Omega without a serial number. I believe the people above were referencing watches that had the SN filed off.

I am going contra theme - no disrespect to that particular seller me, but when I had a significant issue with a very expensive IWC watch just after purchase I really didn’t want to have to deal with a third-party vendor/repair.

YMMV, and a Seamaster may not be a big deal to you but it would be to me. There are plenty of legit dealers out there who will work with you on price, I just don’t see going gray market on this.

BTW - 2 Planet Oceans at my house, they are rock soloid and I love them. Yeah, contra argument.

Not that I can afford a high end watch but at least I've learned the names of a couple of watch shops here.

I think the collective knowledge of the members here really know everything.

Download the Omega app on your phone and scan your card.
