Well, fuck is all I can say. That takes out all the air out of anyone who lives by the law and decency.

"It did not really matter what we expected from life, but rather what life expected from us. We needed to stop asking about the meaning of life, and instead to think of ourselves as those who were being questioned by life – daily and hourly. Our answer must consist not in talk and meditation, but in right action and in right conduct. Life ultimately means taking the responsibility to find the right answer to its problems and to fulfill the tasks which it constantly sets for each individual." Viktor Frankl, Man's Search for Meaning, 1946.

I worked an accident in the early hours where a kid went down an embankment and through a barbed wire fence. I located the owner of the ranch a few hours later, and when he and his wife were driving slowly on the shoulder looking for their damaged fence from the earlier accident, a vehicle pulled off of the highway in front of them. The vehicle went into reverse, striking the front push bars of their truck. The vehicle pulled forward and the female driver exited and confronted them. Yes, it was all caught on their dash camera.

The suspect vehicle received obvious damage to the rear bumper and trunk while the victim’s truck didn’t receive any. Vehicle just happened to be our county judge and his wife. I still don’t have one for personal use, but I should get around to it.

I have a 2022 Suburban that has 5 cameras; rear for back up, one on each side view mirror, one in the grill, one in the windshield. It sure would be nice if there was something I could plug in use all of these existing cameras.

Some GM vehicles do have a memory card slot for recording the built-in cameras. If I had done better homework before acquiring a new GM vehicle last month, I would have upped the trim level or ordered an option package that includes this feature.

I'm looking forward to your impressions of the Mini 3.

Initial impressions: very similar to the original Mini in form and function. Will take it for a drive later and try to compare the video quality and polarizer efficacy. Feature wise, seems same or more but I turn off / don't use most features (voice command, voice recording, etc). The key feature for me is "immediate" deletion of temporary videos that aren't event or manually saved. That is still available.

Honestly, unless the polarizer makes a material difference, I think I'd just get another Mini or Mini 2; and if needed, just buy the accessory polarizer. The vid quality and/or polarizer needs to be stellar additions to justify the Mini 3 over the prior versions.

Just initial impressions.

I have had one for a few years now. I got one after someone changed lanes into me on the beltway and then lied to the police and said I was the one who changed into their lane. Police and insurance said since there were two different stories and no one was injured they wouldn't do anything.

Bought one a few days later and installed it.

Mine is supposed to arrive tomorrow. Hope it isn't hard to set up and fits well in my 2012 Cruze.

Just saw this on YouTube, and update to the folks pulling this scam. Apparently it's becoming quite popular.

I installed the Vantrue Nexus N4 Pro camera in my wife’s car. Installation of the front camera was a PITA because I wanted the wiring hidden, and I wasn’t interested in tapping the fuse box. I spent a while finding the correct wires in the headliner/overhead light compartment. Once that was done it was pretty easy.
The cable to the rear camera was pretty easy to run in a RAV4.
All in all I m very happy with this setup. It works really well. The app is simple to use and retrieving videos is quick and easy.
Quite happy with the purchase.

I have had both front and rear facing cam's for the last 5 years or more. I've never needed them but at least they come on when I start the truck.
