Big spidey no doubt but he's picking on a little guy. Back when I had a hobby farm I was surprised to find a possum in the poultry barn one morning. Rare thing to find a possum in Minnesota. Anyway he clearly forgot how he found his way in and couldn't get out. When I walked in and surprised him he went all honey badger hissin' and spittin' and bluff charging me. Enough to make me vacate the barn faster than I thought I could.

Definitely not a full grown opossum, or that spider would be enormous.

Things like this are why I don't mind shoveling snow, frankly.

Arc.

That was not nearly ugly enough to be an American possum. It was a big spider.

My son spent a year in the Brazilian rain forest. He learned to leave the tarantulas in the house alone, some bigger than his hand span. Reason is, they eat what you really don't want in the house.

Ok, so preten2b, did your son give any details on what it what that you really didn't want in the house? I can imagine some pretty nasty critters, but was curious. Smile

Opossum already dead. Do they have video/know for sure that it was the tarantula that killed it?

The article said the opposum was still alive and moving when the researchers first spotted the pair. A few moments later it became motionless. This was a spidey kill.
