Hot Springs Grandee. We enjoy it every day unless it is raining.

We like the large size and being deep. Our feet don't have to mingle with others in the tub, which happens in a small shallow tub.

For only 2 people I would go smaller. We frequently have guests at the house so we went large.

The salt system is meh. A bit expensive to operate for the large amount of water. In a smaller tub I would like it better. I do like the lower chlorine level of the salt system. Keeping the water chemistry right for salt is a learning curve. When it works it is great.

Overall I would endorse Hot Springs and the Grandee model.

Not bad for <$700 to "get our feet wet". Now thinking about getting a permanent one because we love the thing and use it 3-4 times a week.

We bought the same thing in April of 2020 during COVID. We leave it up from April-Sept/Oct. My only complaint is the same as Rolan, the jets cool the water too quickly. In the heat of summer its not an issue. The wife and kids like it so that's all that matters.

We had one for ten years. I agree with the lounge option, not impressed. If I bought another one I’d look for simple but well made. If you have cold winters, we’ll insulated.
After five years my tub was a struggle. Leaking and failed pumps and motors. Also I had electrical issues. Every time we had -20 to -30 degree weather, I’d check it and find it alarmed out. So now I’m freezing in a panic trying to figure out what’s wrong!
We used it the most during the winter, loved it when it was snowing. After several issues, it went on a Craigslist tour.
Check reviews from people who have owned them for several years.

I bought a house with a hot tub . It was gone within a month . Zero interest in a hot tub or a pool .

We committed to a Marquis V84 therapy spa over the weekend with a potential delivery date in July.

My original plan was to extend the deck on our house and have the tub on the deck but pricing came back crazy high. Plus, only was able to get one quote.

Now the plan is to recess the tub 1/2 way into our patio and cover it with a pergola. Currently the patio surface is crusher fines so that will be changed to pavers.

Exciting times! Spending money while watching the stock market plummet….

Of my freinds with hot tubs, half cover theirs with a something like you mentioned and the other half don't. I never covered mine because I like to lay back and watch the stars and usually 2-3 satellites passing over each time I'm in the tub.

When installing the tub below grade make sure you have enough access to any panels that surround your tub so you can get to pumps,pipe,and valves if you need service.You also have electronics that need to be programmed probably from behind the side skirting.
No fun when you have a problem and your repair guy can't get to the problem.Also make sure that rain run-off does not flow into the mechanics of the tub.

^^^^ Agree. Fortunately, the patio is a a higher grade so we have fall to allow for drainage should the pit get water in it. The grade will help when replacing the spa water.

All the pumps are in the front and so there will have to be a 2' area in front to access the pumps and equipment. That access area will be covered with deck framing for easy access. No reason to get into the sides unless there is a leak so 4" should be fine around the rest of the tub.

The pergola will be decorative only. Might have some festoon lights on it for lighting. We have too much light pollution around us to get a good view of the stars. It sucks, wish we were farther out in the country...

Would not have thought of a Endless pool as an option. Great idea, and not as much bigger as I expected.
