Long Throw Spotlights

What do we like these days for long throw spotlights? I'm asking here because there's too much to go through on Candlepower Forums and I'm also not interested in building my own, but thanks in advance for the suggestion.

I want to be able to light up people/critters/objects in the dark at 1K meters with something handheld. Form factor is not particularly important. Rechargable is preferable over disposable for power source. I'd like to keep it at or around the $150 mark.

I've browsed various offerings from Nitecore, Olight, Marinebeam and others, but it's hard to tell what's what, especially since most don't provide candela ratings.

I'd rather not just start ordering stuff and returning what I don't like, so any guidance is appreciated.

The most comfortable one I own is a Ryobi 18 volt with the large lithium battery.
Its called Xenon hi beam.
Hand held like a cordless drill and throws a great beam.
Best part is the 18 volt large battery's I use in all my other Ryobi hand tools.
Check one out at Home depot,not good enough ,carry it back.
Bet you will not be carrying it back.

Not with modern CREE LEDs and microprocessor controlled circuitry it's not. At least, not according to the advertising.

I didn't specify LEDs, but given the desired range, I doubt there will be other options. I've gone through half a dozen pistol-grip style high intensity floodlights over the years. I'm looking to upgrade from those.

I bet there's a WIDE difference between what an advertising geek (or company that wants you to buy something) calls "illuminated" and what I consider illuminated.

Interested to hear how it does. I can't imagine 1200 lumens lighting up 1000 yds though.

The Fenix TK35 does a nice job with a narrow beam. I am not sure the distance but 300 yards was one of my experiences.
