Honestly, start with this:

Cut the cable.

Get an over the air HD antenna. Use that for a month and see what you are missing. You should have an antenna anyway for emergencies.

Then, in month two, get a 30 day Netflix subscription. Try that out for a month, and see if you still have time/need to watch other shows and movies.

From there, buy a subscription for whatever it is that you feel you are specifically missing.

I've had Netflix, Hulu, and YouTube Premium for many years now. I gave up on cable in 2004, and don't regret it.

Thank you all for your input.

As someone said, it can be confusing.

I think I understand now: I can go to Comcast and get bundled content or create my own bundle by going to separate providers.

"It did not really matter what we expected from life, but rather what life expected from us. We needed to stop asking about the meaning of life, and instead to think of ourselves as those who were being questioned by life – daily and hourly. Our answer must consist not in talk and meditation, but in right action and in right conduct. Life ultimately means taking the responsibility to find the right answer to its problems and to fulfill the tasks which it constantly sets for each individual." Viktor Frankl, Man's Search for Meaning, 1946.

It's more complicated than that. Some content is only available on some platforms.
