Honestly, start with this:
Cut the cable.
Get an over the air HD antenna. Use that for a month and see what you are missing. You should have an antenna anyway for emergencies.
Then, in month two, get a 30 day Netflix subscription. Try that out for a month, and see if you still have time/need to watch other shows and movies.
From there, buy a subscription for whatever it is that you feel you are specifically missing.
I've had Netflix, Hulu, and YouTube Premium for many years now. I gave up on cable in 2004, and don't regret it.

As someone said, it can be confusing.
I think I understand now: I can go to Comcast and get bundled content or create my own bundle by going to separate providers.

It's more complicated than that. Some content is only available on some platforms.
