I'll be shocked if it's not someone(s) on the left that sent these.

The idea that it happened because Trump says mean things, doesn't hold water. Whoever did better spend a very long time in prison. If these were not hoax devices, life in prison would do.

Exactly, we are winning, Trump is winning, why send any of these losers anything except a postcard asking how it feels to lose after all these years???

In a press conference on Thursday, FBI Assistant Director William Sweeney would not confirm the origin of the packages, despite reports that investigators believed some came from Florida.

"Some were obviously in the postal system," Sweeney said. "I'll leave it at that."

Here's what else we know about the investigation:

• Two law enforcement officials familiar with the investigation said authorities believed several packages went through a processing and distribution center in Opa-locka, Florida. The facility handles incoming and outgoing mail from South Florida, according to a US Postal Service employee.

• An FBI bomb truck left New York City Thursday morning, carrying the device that was sent to CNN, according to a law enforcement official familiar with the investigation. It was bound for the FBI laboratory at Quantico, Virginia, the official said.

• The suspicious white powder found in an envelope along with the device sent to John Brennan and CNN was tested and found not to be anthrax or other known agents, the source said. Additional tests will be done in the coming days.

^^^ Humiliating, ain’t it?

Luckily, I have enough willpower to control the driving ambition that rages within me.

When you had the votes, we did things your way. Now, we have the votes and you will be doing things our way. This lesson in political reality from Lyndon B. Johnson

"Some things are apparent. Where government moves in, community retreats, civil society disintegrates and our ability to control our own destiny atrophies. The result is: families under siege; war in the streets; unapologetic expropriation of property; the precipitous decline of the rule of law; the rapid rise of corruption; the loss of civility and the triumph of deceit. The result is a debased, debauched culture which finds moral depravity entertaining and virtue contemptible." - Justice Janice Rogers Brown

While in Basic Training back in the summer of '90 one jackass I went to High School with thought it would be funny to mail me an envelope with a baggy of white powder in it.

So there I was, in formation, outside during mail call, when one of my Drill Sgts called my name to come fetch my mail, and as per the norm - all thick envelopes were opened there.

I tore open the fat envelope, and to my surprise and horror a bunch of white powder spilled out and what was left was an opened up little baggy with more white powder in it.

I stood there shocked, a bit confused, stomach dropped, and in a second or so I was imagining the worst possible outcomes like a drug charge over some dumbass prank.

But without batting an eye, the Drill Sgt took one look at it all, told me to toss it all in the adjacent trash can, and to get my ass back in formation so they could finish the mail call.

Thankfully this was before we were as worried about Anthrax, and I suspect the Drill Sgt had seen similar pranks before, and that was it, no report, no investigation, nothing.

I later learned it was just the contents of some over the counter capsules, meant to resemble Cocaine - as though that would be funny. I didn't laugh, nor keep him as a friend.

Imagine how much of a shit storm it would cause nowadays...

Federal authorities made an arrest on Friday in connection with the nationwide bombing campaign against outspoken critics of President Trump.

It was not immediately clear who had been taken into custody, but a man was arrested in Florida, two law enforcement officials said.

The arrest came only hours after the mysterious spate of pipe bombs spread further on Friday morning as federal authorities said that they had found two more of the explosive devices: one addressed to Senator Cory Booker and the other to James R. Clapper Jr., the former director of national intelligence.

A suspect was arrested in Florida on Friday morning in connection with the rash of suspicious packages sent to prominent Democrats nationwide, law enforcement sources confirmed to Fox News.

A news conference was set for 2:30 p.m. ET.

Federal authorities had been focusing on Florida as the location where the majority of packages originated.

Several of the packages went through a U.S. postal facility in Opa-locka, Florida. The Miami-Dade County Police Department confirmed Thursday it was helping federal agents who were at the facility as part of the ongoing investigation.

The USPS operates an innovative imaging system that photographs each piece of mail processed throughout the country. Investigators were likely relying on that system to pinpoint where some of the packages were mailed.

The source also said the investigation had progressed “significantly” and that the FBI is reaching out to retailers to zero in on where the elements of the bombs were made and where they were sold.

The envelopes and packaging materials were being closely analyzed and likely contain a treasure trove of DNA information. Tiny bits of genetic material – traces of sweat, skin cells, saliva, hair or fingerprints – are typically used as a roadmap to the suspect’s door, investigators and bomb experts say.

Currently, the Washington, D.C., field office and the FBI headquarters have 24 teams in place and on the hunt for the culprit.
