Thinking about upgrading at some point. I use the Walker Electronic Slim Muffs typically. But for rifles or all day shooting it starts to suck.

What do you guys like for In Ear Electronic Protection? My Coach has the OTTO NoizeBarrier Micro. But they are quite pricy. Looking for some other options out there.

I have always used Sordin Pro ear muffs for competition but I have friends who speak highly of OTTO.

I have been using these for about a year now.

And they have blue tooth, and you can turn on external sound or turn it off.

Also following. As someone whose ears will not keep earbuds in, I need something custom molded or with a loop behind the ear.

These were recommended by a Fed LEO (Park Ranger) I train with that does quite a bit of shooting. I have them on my short list as one of the options. EDIT TO ADD: I saw Costco sells these for $130.

Also Ravine was mentioned. BUT: I'm seeing TONS of reviews of had bad they suck and are a pain to return. Shipped all the way from China and etc. So I'm going to stay way away from them.

For what it's worth I pulled the trigger on a pair of the Axil. They seem nice and I've ordered a pair of the Comply Tips to go on them. I've heard they are generally an upgrade over anything shipped with the Axil or Otto out the box.

I'll come back once I get a range report in on them.

I would like a pair of in ear buds that have good sound quality, hearing protection, noise canceling and hearing enhancement , comfortable and good battery. I don’t know if this exists.

I prefer the ones that mounts behind the head. I had a pair of Pro Ear Predator a while back, but the batteries corroded and killed the electronics. Frown

I have the Otto but I bought them when they were cheaper and when Brownells used to offer their lifetime warranty. They replaced them once for me when the charging life diminished after a few years.

Sorry OP, I had a set of Axil in-ear, and they were not effective I went back to foam plugs and electronic ear muffs.

I'd look carefully at the NRR. As bad as my hearing is, I use 3M muffs with the best rating available and plugs. I REALLY don't want to end up with an implant.

I have the Noizebarrier Micros and like them a lot. They aren't cheap, but they do what they're supposed to and have insanely good battery life. The earpieces have essentially all day battery life and the case that charges them lasts me more than six months with an average of maybe six or eight hours a week of use.

I have three critiques:

1) The charging case uses Micro USB. That's madness in 2026.

2) Both sets of included ear tips are disappointing. I had a bag of 3M skull screws and use those. There are other options available cheap online.

3) The warranty sucks. I think it's only a year. I had one of the earpieces die about halfway through the warranty. They replaced the entire set (case and both earpieces) with my only cost being shipping to them. The turnaround was very fast.

I have also owned the 3M/Peltor TEP-100 in the past. Those were very similar as far as the size, function, charging case, etc. The Ottos sound better and the TEP-100 used AA or AAA batteries in the charging case, which would always end up leaking. Eventually the case died and I ended up tossing the entire setup.

If you are put off by the cost of the Ottos, take a look at Harris and Sons that run around $2,500...

And the Walker ear buds.of all of them I like the Walkers the best. Clearest voice and best nrr
I use mostly 22 so it's not real loud.
