My wife got a virus warning in her iPad Facebook app. It is a scam for Norton.

One suggestion is to clear cache and history, but I Can't figure out how to do that. Any hints?

TIA

The affected triggering app is Facebook. Does that matter?

I stopped using the Facebook app and just log on through my browser. That Facebook app is a resource hog and caused me more problems than benefits.

My wife went ahead, despite my warnings, and clicked for the Norton app. Once it was loaded, it showed up as another app, she deleted it and it is gone.

I've viewed Norton as a scam for a long time, but this marketing ploy rips it for sure.
