Anyone else fed up with "commercial-free" radio and the barage of Taylor Swift Eras Tour commercials?
Seems like a mention between every third song on Coffee House. Maybe it's time for a class action lawsuit?

Not all the channels, or programming, is commercial-free.

And if you're hearing Taylor Swift ads, you might be listening to a channel meant for that demographic.

Channels I listen to, do not contain any of that. Ad free unless it’s some show on their station they are promoting.

had it till 2015 and lost it when the car I had was totalled (rear ended)

just bought a new to me used Toyota RAV4 that for reasons I am not sure off, has XM/Serius

and I have realized that I truly dislike Dick Blade,

however, I will listen, until whoever is paying for it realizes they no longer have that RAV4 )I bought it used from a Honda Dealership) then go back to terrestial radio, pandora, and my ipod,, since this new to me vehicle does not have a CD player

ETA, it has been a bit so I don't recall all the stations I listened to , but they were whatever Sirius took over and replace Lucy, Ethel and Fred with when it was XM,

and The Spectrum,

however, if the wife is in the car for long, it ends up on the yahct rock channel

My wife has it in her Jeep, and we have the app on her phone, so we can use wi-fi to listen in the house. No Taylor swift ads on the stations we listen to: Classic Rewind, Classic Vinyl, Prime Country, or Red, White & Booze.

I don't recall any ads and I listen to alot of stations in that demographic, but I also don't encounter any of her songs either. I don't think Sirius XM pays whatever they run to play right now.

I kinda get what he's saying.
I had SXM for a while but eventually got rid of it.
They tout "commercial free programming" but it felt like every third song or so would have a commercial for their own stuff.

At one point I would have considered Sirius but I have loooong left any fascination with Howard Stern.
Now for music there are a lot more options of just playing my owned music as well as several great streaming services.
Perhaps there are some other non-music shows that might be decent but nothing I am aware of.
I prefer to listen to music when driving anyway.

I took a gamble and bought a lifetime for $325 the year Stern switched over. At that point, who knew how long or if they would even stay in business? The deal came with app streaming, computer and vehicle. That was in 2008. So my average annual cost is now at $21.66 per year and continues to reduce. The reason for the purchase was Howard and I haven't listened to him in a long long time since his true Hollywood lib side became his new mantra! Robin is friends with my neighbor and I see her often in the Summer and told her exactly that. It's only about the money to them at this point. I call him the "sell-out".

I have had XM off and on in a couple of vehicles. I listened to older music, talk and news. I can only take so much of any of it so I channel surf. The music is seemed largely obscure or of no interest, the talk has at least a lefty slant, the news is a dead horse and too many adds. I ended up asking myself why am I paying for this? It is nice to be able reliably tune in a channel while traveling but that’s all.

I've called XM to cancel my subscription in my truck acouple times. Each time they keep making offers & keep lowering the price until I can't refuse. I just checked, and I'm paying $7.71/month. I forget if that price is good for 1 or 2 years, but that's with all taxes & fees included. I'm sure not all channels are included in my particular plan, but I still get all my classic rock, country & news channels, so I'm good with that.

I have long since let my subscription expire, but I am considering renewing. This is a pretty good deal. $5/mo for a year, and then you can play cancellation roulette with them and keep the price.

$5/mo for 12 months
