Partial dichotomy
| Love the early Doobie Bros. In fact, I love all incarnations of the Doobie Bros. I've seen them several times, but two of my favorites were when they toured with Chicago.

Staring back from the abyss

| Great tune and great album. South City Midnight Lady is probably my favorite from that album though. Interesting and fun one to learn to play.

quarter MOA visionary

| Saw them many moons ago with Michael McDonald and just recently this year with Tom Johnston and crew. Probably one of the best bands still not in the Rock N Roll Hall of Fame, yet. |

China Grove, and Long Train Runnin' are two of my most favorite of all time. I'm a big fan of Tom Johnston.

Mine came with a trapeze style tail piece, and, being young and stupid, I had it modified. It now has a Gibson TP-6 fine tuning stop tail piece. The work was well done, and I prefer the way it plays now, but from a collectables standpoint, well ..... It is a rare wine red color, not the red red, which I love. Though, if I had my druthers it would be a mid 60's blond dot neck, though. Thinking about it, at one time or another we played several Doobie tunes, and I believe I could also fake my way through China Grove, Listen to the Music, and Rocking Down the Highway if I had to. I always meant to learn South City Midnight Lady, but other than a couple of riffs, never really got around it. |

| Love the Doobies. Black Water is a fine soulful song that I always enjoy. |
