Crossed that line in January. My 18 year old son ask me how it felt to be a half century old, I said I care slot less about what people think about me and glad to be in a position I can. I agree active lifestyle previously and keep moving is the key.

I quit getting older at 29. Each birthday thereafter was 29. The kids used to ask, "Weren't you 29 last year?"

No, just approaching 29 now, thanks.

Thirty, and beyond? Fuck that.

I'm in really bad shape for a 28 year old.

Congrats on fifty.

Welcome to the Too Old and Ornery to Kill Club!

Sure... the chassis has taken a beating along the way -- but that's what made life worth living! Smile

Thank you for your service officer, in the .mil and in LE. Congrats on your 50th. May the Lord watch over you for many years to come.

Smoking....hit up Costco. That have nicotine tabs (mint) that will do the job. Start off at 4 for a month then migrate to the 2's. You'll make it.

All 50 means is you're too close for missiles, and you need to switch to your guns. Big Grin

Happy birthday!

Half of the working agents in my shop are over 50. We can still out-run the pups (figuratively, and in some cases literally.)

Now all you need to do is buy a Barrett and a Desert Eagle to celebrate. Wink

Congrats. The first doctor's visit after you turn 50 is a memorable one. At least mine is named Michelle. Wink

But on a more serious note, a trigs/hdl ratio of <2 will be a good indication of metabolic health going forward. Also a coronary calcium scan (CAC) is good.

Welcome to the 50 Club, sir!

In a similar situation, I had two of my most qualified guys in my office the other day. One thing led to another and there was a "do we have clearance, Clarence?" line delivered. Young Mr. E had a very blank look on his face. I asked, "you've seen Airplane!, haven't you?"

Mr. E grinned and said, "No. You guys have to realize, I was born in '95."
(That movie came out in 1980, for reference.)

Eek

I felt old for a moment. Mr. E is just 25, and my colleague Mr. S (the other guy in the office at the time) is 24.
I've been in this line of work longer than either of them has been on this planet. I'm older than the both of them put together.

Still kickin', though! Smile

God bless America.

Congrats on half a century. I hit 60 a couple weeks ago and I'm still as good as I was at 30. I think I am so I am.
