The mask mandate was lifted in Texas and over half the population still wears them. Its scary to think about how quickly people were indoctrinated by fear and societal pressure. If we were told to wear them forever the majority would obey without question, they'd be masked until the day they died.

I work out at a LA Fitness facility. They have the "signs" posted on the door requiring the masks. Get past the check-in station and all masks immediately come off, and no staff members say a thing.

Neither was Penicillin and other great antibiotics.

Antibiotics cure infections and kill bacteria. They do not cure viruses. I get your point but gotta find a better example.

I typically give a short statement to those that require I wear it consisting of, "these masks are Kabuki".

Anyone interested at that point gets information on how useless they are in reality and they type of masks that would actually do anything.

Then I go on to explain how I believe it's the hand washing that makes the biggest difference and POS payment centers and communal pens located there are probably a big vector.

Live in fear if you want, I don't have the time or patience to bow to tyrants.
