This is not right.

I bet if Obumma was in office and she wore a change T Shirt nothing would of happened. Videos at link also.

https://www.foxnews.com/us/new...chools-patriotic-day

A New Hampshire teenager said she felt ashamed and embarrassed when her high school principal reportedly told her she needed to cover up the “Make America Great Again” T-shirt and hat she wore for a patriotic celebration.

Ciretta Mackenzie, a freshman at Epping High School, told Boston 25 she had to borrow a friend’s sweatshirt and took off the hat after being reprimanded for wearing the “MAGA” gear on Monday – which was “America Pride Day” at school.

WHY I WEAR A MAGA HAT THESE DAYS (AND I DIDN'T START OUT AS A TRUMP FAN)

“It’s just a shirt, and it only says 'Trump: Make America Great Again.' It doesn’t say anything like 'build a wall,' so I don’t get how it could be offensive, how it could be disrespectful,” Mackenzie told the news station.

The school’s principal said the iconic red hat and T-shirt violated the school’s dress code policy, which according to Mackenzie, doesn’t say anything about political clothing.

“If it said no political gear, I could understand why it was dress code, but it didn’t say that, so I feel like I’m obligated to have my own opinion and other people can have theirs,” she said. “We don’t have to agree, that fine.”

The Epping High School superintendent told Boston 25 that two students were asked to change what they were wearing that day. The school was celebrating “America Pride Day” as part of its spirit month.

Superintendent Valerie McKenny said the incident was under investigation.

The Mackenzie family said they plan on meeting with the school principal to discuss the situation.

Political correctness. The left has no interest in making America great again.

If people would mind their own damn business this country would be better off. I owe no one an explanation or an apology for my personal opinion.

You can't get any more patriotic than a MAGA hat and Trump shirt.
Obviously a leftist administrator pushing their agenda.

That State seems to be going to total crap.

And is that a public high school? If so that student should've told that principal to go eff himself...respectfully of course.

the state has become infested with Massholes and their fellow socialists from the other New England states and it has gone down hill rapidly ever since Jean Shaheen was elected governor

one of the reasons I left was the state and a lot of my neighbors became intolerable socialists

it used to be a nice state, not surprised this happened - particularly since the schools in NH have become nothing more than indoctrination centers

Unclear just what the school's dress code is, or whether Hillary or Bernie T-shirts are OK. I don't have a problem with schools up to high school not allowing any "political" articles of clothing, but it must apply to everyone.

A MAGA t-shirt is not a political statement. Unless it bears the likeness or name of a politician?

Correct?

What if she wears a T-shirt that says "Make the United States Great Again". Is that OK?

Quick google search says they are 2.8 miles apart.

Sorry for the thread drift the name just caught my attention.

That’s quite a stretch. It is 100% a political shirt/hat, though there should not have been any repercussions from her wearing them. Is wearing a Che shirt just an indicator that the wearer enjoys Argentine history?

She (and possibly the other 2) were singled out unfairly.

With the link to the story.

If it wasn't for this administration I am sure they (SIG) would be selling a lot less firearms.

How the fuck can representing the PRESIDENT of the USA be considered political.

He is the FACE of the nation, the elected executive. If ANYONE represents the United States of America at any point in time, it is the PRESIDENT.

How we have allowed these GODDAM COMMUNISTS to get this much power is infuriating.

Here’s the school dress code. Unless there’s a double secret dress code, the school has a problem

“Student Dress Code
As a community we take pride in our personal appearance. We expect that all dress reflects the quality of our school and shows respect for yourself and others. Dress should not interfere with nor disrupt the educational process of our school.
● Clothing that displays or promotes illegal substances, alcohol, or a tobacco products is prohibited.
● Also prohibited are offensive symbols or language, including those that suggest intolerance or lack of respect to others on the basis of gender, race, religion or ethnic, social, or economic background.
● Undergarments must never be visible. Clothing must completely cover the undergarments. This includes bra straps and the top of underwear.
● Tops must touch the top of the clothing article that covers the lower half of the body. Midriff/belly areas must not be exposed.
● The top of the clothing covering the lower half of the body must meet the bottom of the shirt. Pants, skirts, and shorts must completely cover undergarments.
● Hats, hoods worn over the head, and sunglasses are not to be worn inside the school building.
● Footwear must be worn at all times. Footwear must be safe and appropriate. Flip Flops and
slippers are not permitted.
● Appropriate footwear is required in the gymnasium (non-marking sneakers only).
● Dress code expectations apply during Halloween and Spirit Week dress up days as well.
Full-face makeup and masks, mock weapons, and potentially unsafe costumes and items are not permitted.
The Administration retains the ultimate responsibility to determine whether clothing is in keeping with the dress code philosophy should an issue arise. If clothing is deemed inappropriate, the student will be asked to change. Changing one’s clothes is always the first and best choice. Failure to comply with this simple request will result in disciplinary action, including but not limited to detention or suspension. Repeated violations of the dress code will result in elevated consequences.”
