I'm retired so it's no longer relevant , but my Cardiologist said that I may need a PM at some point .Since I worked in high voltage substations I asked if the EMF would be an issue . He said if it came to that he would consult with the manufacturer . No PM yet .

Make sure there isn't a possibility they will recommend a defibrillator a year or two later and you have to get cut on again. Procedure isn't a bill deal actually but I try to avoid that stuff when possible.
