ExpatRight there with you, enjoy the insanity. I'm on Verizon with all the support they can muster. Still get calls. Mostly local.
I've raved at Verizon many times, little help.

KMitch200They’ll just spoof the number to something other than an 800 number.
I get a number of ripoff scam calls spoofed to show numbers from all over the country.
Some geniuses even use MY phone number.

rduckworDownload "Should I Answer" Set it to block all calls from numbers not in your contacts or only the 800 numbers.
You're welcome.

RogBCheck out the mr number app. Excellent. Blocks all calls not on contact list. Wish there was a white list for landline that actually works.

Next time ask if that means you don't need to pay your taxes any more.

bryan11The 'Should I answer' app seems to work well.
Another option to consider is to sign up for a (free) Google voice number, set it to forward to your mobile, and give the Google Voice number to businesses that require one. That limits who receives my mobile number and Google seems quite good at blocking robocalls.

DonDraperGet a Google Nexus phone. The "Screen Call" option is the best thing ever.
