Ooh, ooh: Terminology—

It’s a straight trigger; straight is the opposite of curved, not “flat.”

And if you’re an armorer or gunsmith, learn the proper names of the gun parts that are assigned by the manufacturer, not something you made up or applies to a different make/model.

A failure of a cartridge to go into the chamber properly during the autoloading cycle is a failure to chamber, not a “failure to feed.” Feeding is what the magazine does, and unless the magazine does not push the cartridge up into position to permit the bolt or slide to push the round into the chamber, it’s not a failure to feed.

Round originally referred to a complete cartridge or artillery load: powder, container for the powder, projectile. “Round” was not simply a different way of saying “bullet.” It’s not possible to “send rounds downrange” unless we’re picking the whole thing up by hand and throwing it manually.
I’ve given up on letting that one bother me, but I still notice it, as in, “I had a round stuck in the barrel due to a squib.” No, it was a bullet that was stuck there.

And yes, Hydrox > Oreo.

“Hot takes”?

1. Half the police tactical teams need disbanded.
2. Cops should not be dispatched to mental health calls.
3. Too many police agencies train firearms completely wrong, if they train at all.

And 4-

The above three continue to happen, and we act surprised when things go wrong.

But, lots of people believe my logic is flawed.

Education has gotten it wrong for 2000 years ( and counting)

Teaching history is tantamount to using a treadmill.

People are the worst decision makers on the planet.

It's come to my attention that since retirement, the more I learn,
The less I understand.

A man can't cross the same river twice, as the man is not the same and the river has changed.

If Tiger woods could have kept banging five women, he would have never started losing tourneys.

The only thing better than winning the lottery ,
Would be someone else winning it and "taking care" of you .

I started a thread on a music forum stating that, barring solo artists with hired guns, any band that changes lineup should have to change their name. I don’t think this is a flawed opinion but it is certainly a hot take.
