My old watch started doing that, standing still in the back yard and it would vibrate and ask if I had fallen. Did it a few times, figured it was time to upgrade and bought a refurbished Ultra off Woot, about half the price of a new one and haven't had a fall report since. Woot has a plethora of Apple things on sale, just hit the emails today if you are looking for a new iWatch https://electronics.woot.com/p...e_3185080_1379333520

Did you try restarting the watch? It’s good practice to do that occasionally. Serious about crackers.

^^^^^^^ I bought my Apple watch for its fall detection/reporting feature (I live alone and I’m getting kinda old). I subsequently learned that it’s a wonderful instrument with many other uses. Serious about crackers.

This, absolutely. “Do I need a jacket, and is rain still in the forecast?” Look at the weather gadget on my watch. Two or three minutes between sets of exercises? Set a timer on my watch. Is today my doctor’s appointment? Check my calender. It’s handier than a shirt pocket. _______________________________________________________ despite them

Yes but it did it a few more times, it was an 7, and time for an upgrade anyway and the Ultra is much larger face which is a plus. That woot link has some refurb Ultras for about half price of a new one... So it's a good deal.

I have the first version of the Ultra. When it has gone off I did fall or was doing something aggressive enough that the notification was justified. The “POLICE" Their job Is To Save Your Ass, Not Kiss It The muzzle end of a .45 pretty much says "go away" in any language - Clint Smith

It doesn't happen too often, maybe twice now. The last time was I hit my car horn hard. Then my watch started to go off and it was about to call an emergency. That made me panic and I couldn't figure out how to turn it off while I was driving. I think I kept hitting the wrong button. "It did not really matter what we expected from life, but rather what life expected from us. We needed to stop asking about the meaning of life, and instead to think of ourselves as those who were being questioned by life – daily and hourly. Our answer must consist not in talk and meditation, but in right action and in right conduct. Life ultimately means taking the responsibility to find the right answer to its problems and to fulfill the tasks which it constantly sets for each individual." Viktor Frankl, Man's Search for Meaning, 1946.
