I will be watching Sierra Trading Post in a few months. I would not be surprised to see Gander stuff on there.

But they never sold at normal prices to begin with. :P

Seriously, I stopped by there, and Winchester White Box 45 ACP was $0.50/round.

Went to ours yesterday and it was packed to the gills. Max discount was 30%. I had a gift card I had to use before it was worthless.

Got a North Face jacket at 30% off but most of the stuff was not discounted much.

Never realized they dealt in closeouts, etc.

I've got some great deals from them over the years.
Self inflating sleeping pads, pack boots.
I'll have to keep an eye on their site too.

I went to the Novi store yesterday afternoon with my wife.

She bought some clothes, I went to the firearms section. No ammunition markdowns, same prices as usual along with firearms. Glock 19 Gen 4 $619, used guns prices high also with no markdown signage. I came away with nothing except a couple Carhartt t-shirts. Looked at some 5-11 boots but the prices were too high, I've seen better online from LA Police Gear IIRC.

I might give them a week or so for some more markdowns on the boots but I'll probably pass on the guns.

All 126 stores are closing, all inventory liquidated, all employees laid off.

Employees were given little or no notice and limited information

All guns and ammunition not sold at normal prices go back to manufacturers, therefore no liquidation or discounts

NO WARRANTY on anything made by Gander Mountain. All sales final, no returns or exchanges. If it doesn't work, too bad so sad. If it is by another manufacturer (ie Moultree, Hummingbird, Carhart, etc.,) contact the manufacturer.

Camping World bought the name, website, and some financial assets, hence the liquidation. Roughly 60-80 stores will re-open as Camping World/Gander Mountain or Gander Mountain by Camping World. Store openings will depend on deals made between Camping World and landlords.

There is no specific close date for any store, when sufficient merchandise is depleted, the store will be close and the remainder sold to liquidators.

I hope camping world fails too just for dealing with these dick bags. So glad they are closing. They have been fleecing unsuspecting first time gun buyers for 50 years. Fuck'em and anyone that looks like'em.

Drove a good ways sat. just to see if they would still be overpriced even during a "liquidation." My suspicions were correct. As someone else mentioned, I saw a hk usp and a scope I looked at the last time I left swearing I'd never go back, both had been marked up by ~10-15% and then given a 10% liquidation discount. Even at the end gander's still operating like they have no competition.

Stopped in the Augusta, GA store............prices were simply comical.
I did see some 30-rd Pmags(GEN3) at an average price.

A P227 in the case caught my eye - 10% off.
Hilarious as the price was 20% higher than the GM web page cost dated 2-weeks ago!!!!!!
I showed it to the sales guy and very loudly made sure all around could hear about the farce.

There were so many guys on phones calling wives/girlfriends with "but baby it 10% off"......ummmmm...don't shop much do ya?

CEO Marcus Lemonis: If you're OK with what Trump said, don't shop at my businesses

Serial entrepreneur Marcus Lemonis had some choice words on Wednesday about those who may support President Donald Trump's response to the violent white supremacist rally in Charlottesville, Virginia.

"There's no doubt that there is probably not many consumers in this country today that are in favor of what has been said in the last couple days and if they are, quite frankly, don't shop at my business," said Lemonis, who is CEO of Camping World and host of CNBC's "The Profit."

https://www.cnbc.com/2017/08/1...-at-my-business.html

"Some things are apparent. Where government moves in, community retreats, civil society disintegrates and our ability to control our own destiny atrophies. The result is: families under siege; war in the streets; unapologetic expropriation of property; the precipitous decline of the rule of law; the rapid rise of corruption; the loss of civility and the triumph of deceit. The result is a debased, debauched culture which finds moral depravity entertaining and virtue contemptible."
-- Justice Janice Rogers Brown

"The United States government is the largest criminal enterprise on earth."

Okay... I think Trump disavowed that from the start. Now if big mouth Lemonis doesn't disavow the violence on the left (like shooting the republican baseball team) - fuck him. One more reason not to go to his store.

Drove by the store near me a few days ago, sign outside said "Store closing, up to 60% off".

I'm partial to Cabela's especially now that the Delaware store (no sales tax) is closer than the Hamburg store. But even Cabela's isn't as good as they used to be.

Thank you for the phone number.

Just called and waited and got through.

Latrice answered. She had no idea who Mark Martin is. When I told her that my family will no longer be doing business with them at the request of her CEO, her reply was, "okay."

There was nothing other than that.

They apparently just don't care about their customers.

Was planning to have them service our travel trailer this fall, but will go elsewhere.

I would guess that about 60%, or more, of Camping World's customer base are Trump voters. The Gander Mtn numbers are probably much higher. This CEO has just boxed himself into a nasty little corner.

Am I mistaken to think that the Good Sam club is also under this moron ceo?

Looks like that membership is also at an end.

If you go to Lemonis' website under "Feedback/comments" he has a poorly made video trying to explain his comments but doubles down on what he said previously.
