I planted tomatoes, peppers, and strawberries today. This is my kind of February.

We'll check back in August to see how you're liking that heat and humidity. Wink

Wow, that sucks. Locally we have had three roofs collapses yesterday, an auto repair shop. furniture store, and a school districts bus garage.

Yeah, I've got about four and a half feet of snow on the roof yet. My arms are sore as hell from using totally unused muscle groups when snow raking the roof. Barely get it cleaned and along comes another storm.

I have to be really careful pulling out of the driveway as the snow on the sidewalk is taller than my car. We're running out of places to put the snow.

Thank god for the snow blower. I would probably be in the hospital without it. Yesterday, I blew open the driveways of a few older and disadvantaged people in the neighborhood. Its frustrating when you clear your driveway and then the city plow comes by and puts up a four foot drift, that usually sets up like concrete, in front of your driveway entrance.

Goose,
It's going to be an extremely muddy spring with flooding everywhere. St Peter doesn't have flood walls but Mankato, upstream, does. So when the Minnesota river floods this spring, there should be a lot of flooding in St Peter.

We've 'officially' had 39.5" of snow in Feb here in Red Wing, MN (50 miles SE of Twin Cities metro). Unofficially (measuring each snow fall on a previous clear surface) and we're over 45". That's a lot of snow in 20 some odd days. Berms on the side of the roads are over the hood on my truck and that's after the city has gone by 2x and hauled it all away. It's ridiculous how much snow we have. If we have a quick melt we're in trouble.

So far in the Marquette Michigan area, we have a season total of 202.3" and a Feb total of 87.3". Hope it melts slow or we could have flooding problems...

The drift on my house had to be 4 feet deep. I had to get it off there. What a mess.

Ole Miss is going to make a mess of the Rivertowns this spring. I’m by Diamond Bluff but up in the hills. I was really looking forward to spring fishing on the river but the post melt high water is going to make a mess of things.

Seven people from two different trains were stuck on the tracks in Freeborn County. The crew members were rescued earlier today by the National Guard using its small unit support vehicle (SUSV). This is what they found when they arrived.

A few more days/nights of serious cold then we start to turn. It’s showing 30’s by the weekend, breaking 40 early next week. That’s South WI.

The melt in some areas will cause flooding, aspecially with a quick melt. The yard & property is a mess, lots of broken branches, now frozen to the ground.

That sun angle is promising as we get towards Spring.

As much as I am tiring of this winter, I'm hoping for a nice average warm-up because otherwise, it means a lot of flooding. Not just here, but Iowa, Illinois, Missouri, etc.
